Day 1

Home - Sydney - Lithgow
After departing the Hunter or flying into Sydney, we will travel to Penrith to board the Nepean Belle Paddlewheeler. Enjoy a luncheon cruise on the Nepean River into the wilderness of the Nepean Gorge with its sandstone peaks towering up to 150 metres above the water. This afternoon continue into the heart of the Blue Mountains and unpack in Lithgow for the next five nights.

Day 2

Scenic World - Leura
Spend the morning at the iconic Scenic World, exploring the Jamison Valley and the Blue Mountains Escarpment with autumn colours on show. See the valley and Katoomba Falls from a unique perspective - perhaps ride the world first Skyway, with its Electro-Scenic glass floor. At the flip of a switch, breathtaking views are revealed through the cabin floor. This 360 degree view takes in the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, Mount Solitary and the never ending expanse of the Maison Valley. Or try the Cableway into World Heritage listed rainforest and follow the walkway to the base of the Scenic Railway for your return. This afternoon enjoy a lunch that will have you reflecting back to a bygone era in the town of Leura before visiting the iconic Three Sisters at Echo Point.

Day 3

Carcoar Day
Visit Carcoar, the most intact historical village in Australia, nestled in a sheltered valley beside the Belubula River, and learn of the town's colourful history. Travelling via Carcoar Dam, see the environmentally friendly wind farm, the largest of its type in Australia, providing enough electricity to power an average of 3,500 homes every year.

Day 4

Lithgow - Mayfield - Lithgow
Our journey today takes us to the cold climate town of Oberon which set among the soft rolling hills of the Central Tablelands. Enjoy morning tea before a visit Mayfield Gardens with its extensive gardens where you will have some time to explore before lunch. This afternoon visit the quiet town of Portland with its rich history. Portland is the site of the first cement works in Australia supplying cement to some of the iconic building in Sydney early development. This site now known as the Foundations Portland is the site of the towns Silo Murals complete in May 2018 and a part of the Australian Silo Art Trail. A visit to the Hartley Historic Village for a guided tour of this historic inland settlement with it sandstone building before returning to your motel.

Day 5

Bathurst Day
Today we visit Bathurst and its buildings rich in history and character. Take a spin on the Bathurst 1000 circuit before a visit to the National Motor Racing Museum. Enjoy a guided tour of Abercrombie House, the original residence of the Stewart family, one of Bathurst's pioneering families. After lunch, we will discover more of Bathurst with a locally guided tour, before returning to your motel for dinner.

Day 6

Lithgow - Penrith - Home
This morning, visit the heritage town of Hartley with its impressive buildings, before departing the Blue Mountains and descending to Faulconbridge for morning tea and a guided tour of the Norman Lindsay Gallery and Museum, the home of the Magic Pudding. Enjoy lunch before arriving at Sydney Airport where our Queensland passengers will fly back to Brisbane as the coach continues drop offs back to the Hunter.
