Day 1

The Hunter – Everglades – Rhododendrons – Blackheath
Our first destination is Everglades, the largest and most famous of the gardens designed by Paul Sorensen, Australia’s Master Gardener. Work on the 13 acres began in 1934 and took another four years of artisans and labourers to create a terraced paradise of European Romanticism. Today the gardens are maintained by the National Trust. Later enjoy a picnic lunch in the gardens overlooking the Jamison Valley. A mid afternoon stop at Echo Point offering more views towards the Three Sisters. Our last stop of the day will be the Rhododendron Garden, although the Rhododendrons will be gone the garden is still a lovely place to stop and admire. Dinner in the restaurant and sleep well in tonight’s crisp
mountain air.

Day 2

Blackheath – Mt Wilson – Mt Tomah – The Hunter
Our day starts on the Northern side of Bells Line of Road at Mt Wilson. Here we will be touring a very special property called Windy Ridge Gardens. With over 60ft of top soil, you will soon see why this garden thrives. The crimson leaves will show that the growing season is almost over. Next we vcisit Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens, the highest botanic gardens in Australia. Take a tour before continuing to Richmond for lunch, completing our short autumn colour getaway.
