This regional fine wool festival with Irish connections is packed with activities and entertainment, wool shows and workshops, shearing displays and of course, the colourful street parade led by the sheep themselves. Another highlight is the "Running of the Sheep". It doesnt have the danger of the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona but is certainly as exciting with the trusty Kelpies leaping on and off the sheeps basks as they race down the street. A great opportunity to spend some dollars in country towns.
