Day 1 L, D
Home – Adelaide – Clare
Following your flight to Adelaide, enjoy lunch in Glenelg before travelling to Australia’s oldest wine region. Settle in for the next three nights in the town of Clare, in the heart of the Clare Valley.
Day 2 B, L, D
Bungaree Station and Sevenhill Cellars
Our first visit today is to historic Bungaree Station, established in 1841 as an extensive sheep property. Today it’s an efficient mixed farm run by decedents of the original Hawker family and a living record of rural Australia since 1841. For the first of our wine tastings, visit Clare Valley’s Knappstein Winery and Brewery for a guided tour. After lunch, travel onto Sevenhill Cellars and St Aloysius Church for a guided tour and a wine tasting.
Day 3 B, L, D
Burra – Mintaro – Martindale Hall
Following a guided tour of the historic township of Burra, travel on to Mintaro to dine in the historic Magpie and Stump Hotel. Discover the notorious Martindale Hall, made famous in the
Australian film ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’. Enjoy a Devonshire afternoon tea before stopping at the unique Medika Gallery, where you can view paintings by one of Australia’s premier bird
painters, Ian Roberts.
Day 4 B, L, D
Clare – Barossa Valley
Today we explore the history and flavours of the Barossa Valley. Enjoy a morning visit to the Taste of the Region Interpretive Centre in Kapunda before arriving in Freeling. After lunch, visit the Roseworthy Agricultural Museum before stopping at Seppeltfield Wines and Penfolds Barossa Valley Cellar Doors. Settle in for the next two nights in the Barossa.
Day 5 B, L, D
The township of Tanunda is the primary centre of the Barossa. Surrounded by vineyards and wineries, enjoy a historical tour of this leafy town. Visit Menglers Hill Lookout and Sculpture Park and Barossa Old Rose Repository. After lunch visit Maggie Beer’s Farm shop, inspired by fresh produce from the region. This afternoon, we will stop at the Jacobs Creek and Chateau Yaldara cellar doors.
Day 6 B, L
Barossa Valley – Adelaide – Home
Today we visit the Whispering Wall with its unique acoustic effects. Travel on to Adelaide Airport to board your flight home, where our staff will have your transfers organised.
