Brisbane – Coffs Harbour
Today is the start of a delightful tour highlighting the New South Wales renowned holiday region of the Great Lakes; from Forster Tuncurry on the coast, inland to Gloucester and back to the coast at Nelson Bay, Port Stephens. Enjoy picturesque scenery and travel through NSW ‘Big Country’ side before arriving in Coffs Harbour for your overnight stay.

Coffs Harbour – Forster
Continue southward via the Macleay Valley town of Kempsey en route to Port Macquarie, situated at the mouth of the Hastings River. Travel the picturesque route via Lake Cathie and Laurieton before re-joining the highway at Kew. Cross the Manning River and follow The Lakes Way to Forster-Tuncurry. Enjoy an introductory town tour of Forster and the surrounding area. Settle overnight into Island Palm’s Motor Inn Forster.

Forster – Nelson Bay
Enjoy a commentated, calm-water cruise aboard the ‘Free Spirit’ on Wallis Lake; one of the lovely waterways in The Great Lakes. Dolphins often cavort in the bow wave of the cruise vessel. Following lunch visit the fascinating Forster Arts & Crafts, travel to Tea Gardens to view the Myall River near where it flows into Port Stephens before continuing on to the Marina Resort Nelson Bay, our accommodation for the next three nights.

Relax aboard the MV ‘Surprise’ cruising from Nelson Bay through beautiful Port Stephens for a morning tea dolphin watch cruise. After lunch at the Club, enjoy a scenic drive of the area. This afternoon, stretch your legs and take a leisurely stroll along the main street of Nelson Bay. There will also be an opportunity to ride a Camel on the beautiful stretch of Anna Bay (own expense).

Hunter Valley Gardens – Fighterworld
Today is a gardener’s delight with a visit to the breathtaking Hunter Valley Gardens as you explore over 6000 trees, 600,000 shrubs and over 1 million ground cover plants. After working up an appetite, we make our way to Thornton for lunch. This afternoon visit Williamtown for a most absorbing visit to Fighter World (home of the Hornet) an exciting glimpse into the RAAF’s world.

Nelson Bay – Armidale
Head to the Hunter Region Botanic Gardens for a guided tour, the gardens cover an area of 140 hectares have been established and are maintained by a group of local volunteers.
Continue through Singleton en route to Muswellbrook for lunch. Travel from Scone famous for its thoroughbred studs, before continuing via Murrurundi and on to Armidale for
our overnight stay.

Armidale – Brisbane
Farewell Armidale as you continue northward along the New England Highway. Travel through Guyra, the highest town in the region, over Ben Lomond, continuing through Glen Innes and
‘Town of the Willows’—Tenterfield. Enjoy lunch before returning back to Brisbane where your transfers will be arranged.
