Koala Park Sanctuary

Originally built in the 1920s and opened in October 1930, Koala Park was established as a sanctuary due to the founder, Noel Burnet’s concern over the large number of koalas being killed for the fur trade. He spent the remainder of his life dedicated to researching and preserving these animals and their habitat. Today the centre does a lot of work rehabilitating native animals so they can be returned to the wild. Enjoy a ‘Drovers Lunch’ before returning home. Fare includes morning tea, entry and lunch.
