Day 1

Home - Melbourne - Foster
After your flight into Melbourne, we travel south east through rolling green hills, small country villages and regional towns filled with Victoria's history and heritage. Stop in Leongatha, with its wide boulevards and historic buildings, before continuing on to Foster, the gateway to Wilsons Promontory National Park, for two nights.

Day 2

Foster - Wilsons Promontory
Explore one of the most beautiful national parks in Victoria, Wilsons Promontory. 'The Prom', as it is affectionately known, includes the Tidal River, secluded bays, magnificent stretches of beaches, granite outcrops, wildflowers and flowering trees and shrubs. Easy nature and wildlife walks along the way include Miles Landing Nature Walk, Prom Wildlife Walk, Cotters Lake and Beach, and Shallow inlet walk.

Day 3

Foster - Lakes Entrance
Travelling north we stop at Golden Beach, part of the Gippsland Ninety Mile Beach. At Bairnsdale enjoy lunch and a visit to St Mary's Catholic Church, with its Italian murals painted on the interior of the church. Continue on to Lakes Entrance and board a Sunset Cruise on the Gippsland Lakes, returning to the mainland for dinner.

Day 4

Lakes Entrance - Buchan Caves - Metung Village
Enjoy the scenic drive to Buchan Caves where we will discover an underground wonderland of spectacular limestone formations. Following a local guide, we explore the caves at our own pace (please note there are a number of steps towards the end). Alternatively, you may choose to take a stroll or relax in our beautiful surroundings. Travel to Metung Village, which is tucked away like a well kept secret in a peaceful corner of the Gippsland Lakes, enjoying lunch and free time for a walk along the lake foreshore. Returning to Lakes Entrance, visit the Griffiths Shell Museum to see the collection of land and marine shells on display, including a complete 10m long coral reef and an aquarium full of Bass Strait sea life. Walk along the footbridge to the Ocean Beach before returning to your motel.

Day 5

Lakes Entrance - Traralgon
Travelling further into the Gippsland area, we visit Old Gippstown, a historic town featuring authentic buildings dated between 1840 and 1930. Enjoy lunch and a guided tour, as well as plenty of time to explore the activities and displays of the village. Later this afternoon, arrive in Traralgon for our overnight stay.

Day 6

Traralgon - Melbourne - Home
Before returning to Melbourne, we stop to smell the roses at Morwell Centenary Rose Garden, featuring more than 3,500 roses displayed along gentle winding paths, climbing over decorative archways and around a central gazebo. Enjoy lunch before making our way to Melbourne Airport for your flight home.
