Day 1

Brisbane - Newcastle - Maitland
Our tour begins with a flight to Newcastle where you will be greeted by our crew. Visit Fighter World for lunch and time to explore the exhibits displayed within the two large hangars. Later we will make our way into the main city centre of Newcastle, where time will be allowed to take in the views from ANZAC Memorial Walk, a magnificent memorial to the men and women of the Hunter who served their community and their country.

Day 2

Maitland - Riverboat Postman - Sydney Harbour NYE Cruise
After breakfast, depart the Hunter and travel to Brooklyn on the Hawksbury River. Join the Riverboat Postman as they cruise along the Hawkesbury, delivering the mail and other essentials to the isolated water-access-only settlements upriver from Brooklyn. Enjoy morning tea and lunch on board. This afternoon travel to Olympic Park to settle into our 4.5 star hotel for the next two nights. There will be opportunity for a rest before departing for our New Years Eve celebrations. This evening, we will board our All Occasion Cruises vessel for the ultimate experience of seeing the Sydney Harbour Bridge lit up with the biggest display of fireworks. Enjoy canapes, dinner and drinks onboard as we cruise this majestic harbour, seeing in the New Year.

Day 3

New Years Day - Fish Markets - Rocks - Sydney Tower Dinner
The best way to start the year is in a relaxed fashion. After a sleep in, enjoy breakfast and a morning at your leisure. Later, we will board the coach for a visit to the Sydney Fish Markets. After lunch, continue on to the old Sydney Rocks area, where time will be allowed to wander the markets and discover the many stalls before a photo opportunity at Mrs Macquarie's Chair. This evening, dinner will be at the Sydney Tower revolving restaurant. Enjoy the ultimate dining experience at Sykfeast while taking in the spectacular 360 degree views of Sydney, 82 floors below.

Day 4

Sydney - Copeland Mine - Gloucester
After breakfast, we say goodbye to the state's capital. Travel north along the motorway before turning onto Buckets Way through Stroud and onto Gloucester for lunch. This afternoon, hear the history of mining in the area during a guided tour of Mountain Maid Mine at Copeland - one of New South Wales' longest running operational gold mines. This afternoon, check into our Gloucester motel before dinner.

Day 5

Gloucester - Gostwyck - Tenterfield
Climbing the range, we will pass by the famous actress Ann Baxter's farm, arriving into Walcha for morning tea amongst the town sculptures. As well as producing fine wool and fat lambs, the New England region is also famous for its deciduous trees and shrubs as seen in particular at the little Gostwyck Chapel, covered in Virginia Creeper. Continue on to Saumerez Homestead for lunch and a guided tour. This two storey Edwardian mansion, complete with original furnishings, is now managed by the NSW National Trust. Wander through the rooms and farm buildings to be transported back to 19th Century pastoral life. This afternoon, continue on to Tenterfield for our overnight stay.

Day 6

Tenterfield - Lavender - Brisbane
Today we make our way to Liston for a visit to Aloomba Lavender. Enjoy morning tea and hear the passion our host has for lavender and the wonderful properties of this herb. Continue on to Rathdowney for lunch at a local club, before making our way back to Brisbane, where, on arrival, your transfers will be arranged.
