Parkes Elvis Festival

Day 1 D

Home – Madame Tussauds – Sydney
Our Queensland friends will fly to Sydney, joining fellow Elvis fans from the Hunter and Sydney. After purchasing your own lunch, visit Madame Tussauds, with over 70 near perfect sculptures of Australian and International legends; it is almost impossible to work out reality from real life. Later we will check into our accommodation with time to freshen up before a Dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour.

Day 2 B, L, D

Sydney – Blue Suede Express – Parkes - Forbes
All aboard the Blue Suede Express, operated by Lachlan Valley Railway. As we make our way to Parkes, enjoy morning tea, lunch and snacks as well as admiring the Western Slopes of NSW. Don’t be surprised if Elvis makes an appearance in your carriage too! Late afternoon, our AAJ coach will be waiting to transfer you from Parkes Railway Station to Forbes, where you can unpack
4 Nights Plainsman Motel
and settle in for the next four nights.

Day 3 B, D

CSIRO Radio Telescope Discovery Centre – Elvis Festival
This morning we stop at the famous Parkes ‘Dish’ and the CSIRO Radio Telescope Discovery Centre for a presentation about the telescope, radio astronomy and some of the achievements of the astronomers who use the facility. Later, visit the Henry Parkes Museum before exploring the Elvis Festival for the remainder of the day. Take time to enjoy the variety of entertainment before meeting back together for dinner prior to returning to our motel.

Day 4 B

Elvis Festival and Street Parade
Today we will make our way to Parkes for the Elvis Festival Street Parade. A day at leisure allows you to enjoy all on offer at the festival. You may like to sit and relax at the outdoor entertainment happening on the main stage in the park or you can choose to pre-book your favourites direct with the venues. A late return to our motel today ensures you can attend the activities and dinner
you most prefer.

Day 5 B, D

Elvis Gospel Church Service
It is recommended that you bring a folding chair for today as we are attending a special interdenominational Elvis Gospel Church Service in the park. The rest of the day is at your leisure at the festival. Outdoor entertainment on the main stage will include the Elvis winners concert and an Elvis Tribute Artist Guest Performance. You will also have the opportunity to see the mass renewal of wedding vows with Elvis at the Altar. This evening we will meet back together for dinner at a local hotel before enjoying the show at the Leagues Club.

Day 6 B, L

Forbes – Parkes – Blue Suede Express – Sydney – Home
This morning after breakfast, we will farewell our hosts and transfer back to Parkes to board the Blue Suede Express. Having experienced many laughs and enjoyed so much entertainment, our return journey will allow time to share with others. Once again meals will be provided during our journey and on arrival back into Sydney, your AAJ coach will be waiting to transfer our Queensland passengers to the airport, before continuing dropoffs through the Central Coast to The Hunter.
