Day 1 D
Home - Perth
After flying into Perth, visit the Perth Mint where you will find a fascinating glimpse into the history of gold in Western Australia along with the world's largest coin, weighing a whopping one tonne. You can even find out your weight's worth in gold! Settle into our accommodation for the next five nights.
Day 2 B, L, D
Northern Beaches - Swan Valley
Start the day with a tour of Perth’s Northern Beaches. After morning tea, visit The Aquarium of Western Australia, where you will encounter sharks, stingrays and turtles and meet rare and unusual sea creatures like sea dragons. Today we will also visit the Swan Valley area and delight in tasting some of the region's wine and chocolates. Stroll through the historic town of Guildford with its colonial buildings, convict history, antique stores and village charm, before returning to our accommodation.
Day 3 B, L, D
Rottnest Island
Just a short ferry ride from Fremantle is Rottnest Island. Take a guided tour of the island, visiting Wadjemup Lighthouse, Henrietta Rocks, Oliver Hill Gun Fortification and Tunnels and views from the lookout at Cathedral Rocks and Cape Vlamingh. Hear the cultural and historical heritage of the area and if you’re lucky, you may even spot a Quokka.
Day 4 B, L, D
City Tour - Kings Park - WACA
This morning we are joined on board by a local guide who will cover the history and early settlement of Perth right through to the modern day culture of this beautiful city. Visit Kings Park, situated right in the city on the banks of the Swan River. September is also Kings Park Festival month celebrating its 56th year. Purchase your own morning tea as you explore the festival and the wildflower displays. This afternoon take a guided tour of the WACA ground and museum and see The Bell Tower in Barrack Square.
Day 5 B
Perth - Home
Today begins with a guided tour and train ride at Araluen Botanic Park. See the impressive collection of Camellias, Tea Roses and everpopular Tulips. Travel to Fremantle and purchase your own lunch before boarding the Fremantle Tram for an informative city tour.
