Day 1
Home - Newcastle
Our tour begins with our Queensland passengers flying into Newcastle Airport to join our crew and NSW passengers. Visit Fighter World for lunch and time to explore the exhibits displayed within the two large hangars. Later we make our way into Newcastle where time will be allowed to take in the views from ANZAC Memorial Walk, before settling into our accommodation.
Day 2
Newcastle - Riverboat Postman - Sydney Harbour Cruise
Travel to Brooklyn to board the Riverboat Postman for a cruise on the spectacular Hawkesbury River, enjoying morning tea and lunch on board. This afternoon, travel to Olympic Park to settle into our accommodation for the next two nights. There will be opportunity for a rest before departing for our New Years Eve celebrations. This evening, we will board our cruise vessel for the ultimate experience of seeing the Sydney Harbour Bridge light up underneath a huge fireworks display. Enjoy canapes, dinner and drinks on board as we cruise this majestic harbour, seeing in the New Year.
Day 3
Happy New Year - Manly - Revolving Restaurant
The best way to start the year is in a relaxed fashion. After a sleep in, enjoy the morning at your leisure. Late morning we will board the coach for a visit to Manly. Enjoy free-time to explore and purchase your own lunch. This afternoon, take a drive to North Head Lookout where you can view spectacular cliffs along the Murramarang coastline. This afternoon, return to the motel to dress for our evening out. Travel into Sydney and visit Mrs Macquarie's Chair for a photo opportunity prior to dining at the Sydney Tower Revolving Restaurant. Enjoy the ultimate dining experience at Skyfeast while taking in the spectacular 360 degree views of Sydney.
Day 4
Sydney - Copeland Mine - Gloucester
After breakfast, our journey takes us north through Stroud and on to Gloucester for lunch. This afternoon, hear the history of mining in the area during a guided tour of Mountain Maid Mine at Copeland - one of New South Wales' longest running operational gold mines. Later, check into our motel before dinner.
Day 5
Gloucester - Gostwyck - Tenterfield
Climbing the range, we will pass by the famous actress Ann Baxter's farm, arriving into Walcha for morning tea amongst the town sculptures. Continue on to Gostwyck to see the beautiful Gostwyck Chapel, covered in Virginia Creeper - pretty in every season, before stopping in Armidale for lunch. This afternoon our journey takes us via Guyra and into Tenterfield for our overnight stay.
Day 6
Tenterfield - Aloomba Lavender - Home
Today we make our way to Liston for a visit to Aloomba Lavender. Enjoy morning tea and hear the passion our host has for lavender and the wonderful properties of this herb. Continue on to Rathdowney for lunch before making our way back to Brisbane, where transfers will be arranged for our NSW passengers to Brisbane Airport and our Queensland passengers home.
