The event celebrates the spirit and character of the region's people, places, history and scenic beauty, and each year, the committee honours a worthy local person by naming him or her 'Oracles of the Bush Local Legend'. Highlights of the tour will include the Bush Poets Brekkie and the Campfire Yarns Dinner along with visits to Arrajay Downs Farm and The Bungalow and Ivy Leaf Chapel.

Day 1
Brisbane - Liston - Tenterfield
Your tour begins as we travel along the Mt Lindesay Highway via Rathdowney and the Border Rangers National Park, stopping for a cuppa along the way. Continue on to Aloomba Lavender Farm in Liston for an informative tour before lunch and this afternoon, arrive in Tenterfield, where a local guide will come on board for a town tour prior to checking into our accommodation for the next three nights.
Day 2
Bush Poets Breakfast - Campfire Dinner
Today we start with the Lions Club's Brekkie in the Park where a variety of performers will entertain us over a simple breakfast with their Australian Bush Poetry. We suggest you bring a compact folding chair for your comfort and use throughout the weekend. Visit the Sir Henry Parkes Memorial School of Arts before enjoying some time in Tenterfield. Purchase your own lunch today before attending the first heat of the Amateur Poetry Competition. This afternoon we will return to our accommodation before dressing for a night out the Open-air Campfire Yarns Dinner. The night is sure to entertain with lots of fun and laughter. Remember the nights may be cool, so a warm jacket and gloves would be recommended.
Day 3
Arrajay Downs Farm - Festival Day
This morning's poets breakfast will be at the Tenterfield Golf Club where we will enjoy some unique entertainment which is sure to start you day with lots of laughter. Visit the historic Railway Station Museum Markets prior to a guided tour of The Bungalow and Ivy Leaf Chapel. Learn about how the garden went from being a grass paddock to a stunning display of gardens; you may have seen it recently featured on Better Homes and Gardens. Next we enjoy a Paddock to Plate lunch at Arrajay Downs Farm before attending the second heat of the Amateur Competition. There will be time to relax before dinner, and then this evening, conclude with the Poets Main Concert featuring all the performers.
Day 4
Tenterfield - Brisbane
Start the day with the last of the Poets Breakfasts in Jubilee Park, known as the Poets Brawl. Another entertaining time that will leave you with a smile and some lasting memories of your time at the Oracle's of the Bush Festival. Travel back across the border into Queensland, stopping in Glen Aplin for morning tea at Jam Works. Continue on to Bestbrook Mountain Resort for lunch before descending Cunninghams Gap to arrive back in Brisbane, where your transfers will be arranged.
