This festival celebrates all things bacon - discover the joy of bacon fries and bacon ice cream, enjoy live music, cooking demonstrations and the BaconFest markets. Other highlights of your tour will be the Kingaroy Observatory, Pumpkin Scones at Flo’s and a visit to Taabinga Homestead. So don’t go 'Bacon My Heart'

Day 1
Brisbane - Nanango - Kingaroy
A true country experience is in store for you this morning as we depart Brisbane travelling via Woodford and the rolling hills of Kilcoy. Enjoy morning tea along the way before arriving into Nanango. A visit to the South Burnett Energy Centre will give you some history behind this rich resource before enjoying lunch. Continue on to Kingaroy where we will settle in for the next two nights. After an early dinner, visit the Kingaroy Observatory to discover the beauty of the night sky.
Day 2
Bethany and Baconfest
After breakfast, visit Bethany, which has been home to the Bjelke-Petersen family for more than 80 years. A family member will guide us through this legendary farm followed by a morning tea of pumpkin scones, made using Lady Flo's special recipe. We return to Kingaroy and the Baconfest Festival where things will be in full swing and there is something there for every Bacon lover to tantalise your taste buds! Enjoy the cooking demonstrations, cook-offs, entertainment and all things related to Bacon. Maybe try the Bacon flavour icecream on offer. Return to your motel for dinner.
Day 3
Kingaroy - Yarraman - Kilcoy - Brisbane
This morning after breakfast we say farewell to our hosts. Next, venture to Yarraman Heritage Centre, where we will discover a snapshot of life through the early 1900's. With a plethora of historical buildings to explore, you will be amazed at the collection here. Stop off in Kilcoy for lunch before arriving back in Brisbane where your transfers will be arranged.
