The Hunter - Wagga Wagga
Departing the Hunter Region, our journey will take us south, stopping for morning tea along the way. Lunch will be at Goulburn before continuing onto Wagga Wagga for our overnight stay.
Wagga Wagga - Melbourne
Another day on the road will have us arriving in Melbourne this afternoon.
After breakfast, we'll enjoy a city sights tour before boarding the ferry to Southbank along the mighty Yarra River. Enjoy the variety of lunch options at Southgate Food Court (AOE) before enjoying some free time shopping and exploring.
Melbourne - Geelong
Enjoy a scenic drive along Port Phillip Bay before arriving at Sorrento where we'll board the ferry and cross the bay to Queenscliffe. After lunch (AOE) and some free time, we'll take another scenic coastal drive through St Leonards and Portarlington to Geelong. A visit to the National Wool Museum is next before we check into our accommodation for the night.
Geelong - Apollo Bay
This morning we head to the picturesque town of Torquay for a visit to the Australian National Surfing Museum followed by a visit to the iconic Bells Beach. We'll then travel to the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery for lunch and tasting before a quick photo stop at the Memorial Arch at Eastern View. Tonight we will stop at Apollo Bay with a look at Lorne on the way.
Apollo Bay - Warrnambool
Today will be a highlight of everything the Great Ocean Road offers with many scenic vistas to appreciate including The Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, The Arch and London Bridge. For the adventurous ones, there's the opportunity to take a scenic helicopter flight over this outstanding coastline (extra cost).
Discover Warrnambool, nestled into the rising contour of Victoria's south-west coast amid green dairying country and overlooking the deep blue of the Southern Ocean. Discover the turbulent history of the Shipwreck Coast on a visit to the award winning Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village. Admire the historic lighthouses and see the infamous Loch Ard shipwreck of 1878 brought to life with a fascinating sound and laser show. Learn about the Middle Island Penguin Maremma Dog Project
Warrnambool - Shepparton
We farewell Warrnambool and after our morning tea stop at Beaufort, we continue on to Maryborough to the Railway Café for lunch. Step back in time and immerse yourself in history at Bendigo Pottery. Shop, eat and explore Australia's oldest working pottery.
Shepparton - Yass
After a scenic drive around Shepparton, we head to Wangaratta for morning tea, then Holbrook for lunch (AOE). A drive through Gundagai isn't complete without a stop at The Dog on the Tuckerbox.
Yass - The Hunter
Our final day will see us travelling to Berrima to enjoy some free time before heading to our last lunch destination at Mooney Mooney.
