Seaside Christmas At Harrington

Day 1

Brisbane – Armidale
Today we travel via Lockyer Creek to Warwick and then on to Tenterfield where there will be opportunity to purchase your own lunch. This afternoon, our journey takes us through Glen Innes, Glencoe and Guyra before arriving in Armidale for our overnight stay.

Day 2

Armidale – Timbertown – Harrington
This morning visit Gostwyck Chapel before stopping in Walcha for morning tea and to see some of the town’s sculptures. Continue on to Wauchope for a visit to Timbertown, recreated to demonstrate the struggles and achievements of our pioneers. Take time to stroll through the streets and admire the cottage crafts, art gallery, general store and Vicker’s Fudge. Our journey then takes us to Harrington, set on the banks of the picturesque Manning River with the surrounding mountains as a backdrop, where we will settle in for the next three nights.

Day 3

Dolphin Cruise – Nabiac MotorMuseum
After breakfast, travel to the twin towns of Forster and Tuncurry for a morning dolphin watching cruise. There are approximately 250-300 resident inshore Bottle-Nosed Dolphins inhabiting he waters. Following lunch, visit the National Motorcycle Museum where among the machines on display are a Kenilworth scooter (1919), a twin cylinder water-cooled 2 stroke Scott, and a Vincent Black Knight.

Day 4

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas! After breakfast, your Coach Captain and Hostess will assist with transport for those wishing to attend a Christmas church service. Alternatively, enjoy a morning at your leisure before celebrating over a Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. This afternoon, sit back and relax as we take a scenic drive before returning to our hotel for a light dinner.

Day 5

Middle Brother Mountain – Lake Cathie – Port Macquarie
It is time to farewell Harrington as we travel north via a costal route to Laurieton. Our morning tea stop will offer spectacular views along the coastline from our vantage point at Middle Brother Mountain. Travelling via Lake Cathie, we take time to stop at Bago Winery for lunch and wine tasting. This afternoon we continue on to Port Macquarie for our overnight stay.

Day 6

Port Macquarie – Coffs Harbour
Following breakfast take a journey through Birpai Country at the Sea Acres Rainforest Centre in Port Macquarie. Learn about the rich Aboriginal culture of the Port Macquarie region and be captivated as they showcase the local National Parks. Continue on to the award-winning Billabong Koala and Wildlife Park where you can get up-close and personal to Australian and exotic animals and learn about the worldrenowned koala breeding program. Continue on to Coffs Harbour for the night.

Day 7

Coffs Harbour – Brisbane
After breakfast, our journey is homeward bound. Travel through the subtropical landscape of northern New South Wales to the coastal community of Kingscliff. Enjoy lunch before crossing the border back into Queensland, where on arrival back into Brisbane, your crew will have your transfers arranged.
