Focusing on the popular Clarence River countryside, this Yamba and Maclean holiday gives you a lovely short break staying in the one motel and heading out each day to explore the surrounding areas. Angourie Rainforest Resort is nestled beside 600 hectares of open forest and prides itself on its eco-friendliness. It would be very easy to spend all of our stay just in this relaxing resort atmosphere, but the beauty of the Northern Rivers area beckons.

Day 2 B, L, D
Iluka and Brooms Head
This morning spend time exploring the Northern Bank of the Clarence River. As we travel to Iluka, the seaside town on the northern headland of the Clarence River, we will stop off at the secluded and picturesque Woody Head to enjoy the view. Continue on to Brooms Head, a little hidden treasure nestled in the heartland of Yuraygir National Park. After lunch, visit Ferry Park Gallery at Maclean before returning to the resort.
Day 3 B, L, D
Yamba Museum and History Luncheon Cruise
Visit the Yamba Museum and see the display of over 2,000 photographs. Each photograph is fully captioned and sections are broken into significant timelines in the town and region's history. Next we board the Clarence River Ferry for a Luncheon Cruise on this mighty New South Wales River.
Day 4 B, L
Yamba - Brisbane
Today we will farewell Yamba and make our way to Australia's most easterly point-Bryon Bay. Visit the Byron Bay Railroad Company and hear the story of the restoration of a derelict heritage train, 3 kilometres of railway line and a bridge, before continuing on to Kingscliff for lunch. This afternoon, on arrival back into Brisbane, your crew will have your transfers arranged.
