This morning we visit the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex in Tidbinbilla. Take in the magnificent views of the largest antenna complex in the southern hemisphere, see a piece of the moon that's over 3.8 billion years old, check out the latest images from across the solar system and beyond and examine spacecraft models, plus space hardware and memorabilia. We then make our way via the South West Slopes region of New South Wales, stopping for lunch in Yass. Continue on to Cowra for a visit to the Cowra Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre where there are more impressive sights of the beautiful autumn foliage.
Day 3
Cowra - Mudgee
Today our journey takes us through the Bathurst region, which is renowned for its four distinct seasons; the autumn months being some of the most beautiful of the year! Continue on through Sofala, Australia's oldest surviving gold rush town, beside the pretty Turon River before arriving in Mudgee. Enjoy lunch followed by a tasting at the Mudgee Brewing Company and this afternoon, stop at Bunnamagoo Winery for a guided tasting experience at the cellar door. The picturesque vineyard scenery offers the perfect backdrop.
Day 4

This morning our journey takes us through grazing country via Budgee Budgee and on to Coolah, home to the legendary 'black stump'. Traverse the undulating hills and river flats as we travel through Werris Creek before arriving in Tamworth for lunch. This afternoon, continue along the New England Highway to Armidale, nestled in the beautiful New England High Country, for our overnight stay.
