Day 1

Home - Bulla - Albury
Your tour begins with an early morning transfer ready for your flight to Melbourne. On arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly crew before setting off via Bulla and Benalla. This afternoon, arrive into Albury for our overnight stay.

Day 2

Albury - Tumbarumba
After breakfast this morning our journey continues along the Murray Valley Highway, travelling past the Hume Dam and alongside the Murray River. Enjoy morning tea in the town of Corryong, known for its tree line main street and autumn foliage. Australian bush poet Banjo Paterson wrote "The Man From Snowy River" which captured the heart of the nation and today we will visit the Man From Snowy River Museum, providing further insight into the life of this legend and the history of the area. After lunch, continue to Tumbarumba for a visit to the Pioneer Women's Hut, cleverly themed to reflect the ingenuity of women who had to find solutions to the challenges of looking after a family in early rural Australia.

Day 3

Tumbarumba - Jindabyne
Today we travel along the scenic Alpine Way to Khancoban, a little town in the High Country which was built to house the workers on the Snowy Hydro Electric Scheme. Described as one of the civil engineering wonders of the modern world, the Snowy Scheme consists of nine power stations, 16 major dams, 80 kilometres of aqueducts and 145 kilometres of interconnected tunnels. Enjoy superb mountain views, stopping at Murray 1 Power Station Lookout before enjoying a picnic lunch. This afternoon, visit the historic cattleman's hut and the Snowy Mountain Visitors Information Centre at Jindabyne prior to settling into our accommodation for the next two nights.

Day 4

Thredbo - Kosciusziko National Park
One of the highlights of this tour is fresh mountain air which contributes to a healthy appetite. Enjoy a hearty breakfast before visiting the Snowy Region Visitor Information Centre with some free time in Jindabyne. Travel into Kosciusziko National Park on for a picnic lunch at Charlotte Pass where, on a clear day, you will have unhindered views of Mt Kosciuszko. Return to Thredbo and take the scenic chairlift to the top of Crackenback Mountain with views that will make you feel 'on top of the world'. Be sure to take a coat as the weather can be very changeable.

Day 5

Jindabyne - Goulburn
This morning travel to Cooma to visit the Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre. This state-of-the-art centre showcases the amazing story of the Snowy Mountains Scheme from early construction to the role the scheme plays today in the continuing development and growth of Australia. Stop for lunch in Queanbeyan before arriving in Goulburn for a visit to Garroorigang Historical Homestead. Late afternoon, settle into our accommodation before dinner.

Day 6

Goulburn - Sydney - Home
Following breakfast, our journey takes us through the Southern Highlands to Bowral, for a visit to the International Cricket Hall of Fame. Inspired by Sir Donald Bradman, his vision was 'that cricket continue to flourish and spread its wings - the world can only be richer for it'. To honour this vision, the museum has been expanded to not only show the importance of The Don's contribution to cricket and Australian history, but also cricket's role throughout the world. Enjoy lunch prior to making our way to Sydney Airport where our Queensland passengers will fly back to Brisbane, and our New South Wales passengers will continue with our coach back to the Hunter.
