Day 1
The Hunter - Glen Innes
Today we travel north, stopping in Gloucester for morning tea. We then climb The Great Dividing Range to the small town of Walcha for lunch. This afternoon, arrive into the Celtic town of Glen Innes, for our overnight stay.
Day 2
Glen Innes - Brisbane
Travel via Tenterfield and Stanthorpe before arriving at Abbey Boutique Hotel in Warwick. Take a guided tour of this unique 1891 sandstone building before continuing on to Watercress Creek Olives and Limes. This afternoon, arrive into the heart of Brisbane City where our hotel is located at Southbank, made famous by World Expo '88. Our hotel has free wifi, a gym, pool, sauna and spa - so be sure to pack your swimmers.
Day 3
Brisbane Day - Progressive Dinner
This morning a local guide will take us on a historical tour of Brisbane. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. You may choose to visit the Maritime Museum or the Gallery of Modern Art. Alternatively, you can choose to stroll along the river or take in a movie at the local cinema. Late afternoon we will join back together for a progressive dinner and city lights tour.
Day 4
Lone Pine Sanctuary - Riverfire
Today begins with a visit to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the world's oldest and largest koala sanctuary. Purchase your own morning tea and lunch and perhaps cuddle a koala, feed a kangaroo or view the raptor show. This afternoon, enjoy a presentation at the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium before returning to our hotel. This evening, join our exclusive event on the 12th floor of Rydges, watching the night sky ignite into kaleidoscope of colour, while enjoying entertainment and a three course dinner including soft drinks, beer, wine and juice.
Day 5
Redcliffe Markets - Whale Watching
This morning travel to Redcliffe with time to wander the Markets before boarding our Whale Watching Cruise. Every year the magnificent Southern Humpback Whales migrate through our warmer waters, feeding, mating and playing in the clear, blue waters of Moreton Bay. Enjoy the commentary and the full walk around decks, offering unobstructed viewing onboard this luxury 35 metre vessel. Afterwards, take a stroll along Bee Gees Way, a historical tribute to the Gibb Brothers who launched their career, signing their first contract at the family's kitchen table in Redcliffe.
Day 6
Brisbane - Coffs Harbour
Today it's time to farewell our hosts before crossing the border into New South Wales. Stop at Madura Tea, Australia's only owned and operated tea estate, where you may like to purchase your favourite blend of tea or perhaps try something new. Continue on for lunch at Flutterbies Cottage Cafe, set within the majestic Northern New South Wales Hinterland. This afternoon travel via Kyogle and Casino before arriving in Coffs Harbour for our overnight stay.
Day 7
Coffs Harbour - Home
After breakfast, travel south along the Pacific Highway before stopping in at the Taree Craft Cottage for a visit and lunch. Continue on via Bulahdelah before arriving back in The Hunter, where your transfers will be arranged.
