Day 1
Brisbane - Coffs Harbour
Travel the very scenic route via Numinbah Valley and into the Northern Rivers area of New South Wales, arriving at the House with No Steps in Alstonville. Continue south along the now completed Grafton Bypass road, arriving in the beautiful coastal region of Coffs Harbour. Don't forget to pack your swimmers to take advantage of the pool!
Day 2
Marine Conservation Park - Clog Barn - Big Banana
After breakfast, visit the Dolphin Marine Conservation Park who have been rescuing, rehabilitating, releasing and caring for marine animals since 1970. Next, experience the colour and charm of Holland without leaving Coffs Harbour, during a visit to the Clog Barn. Observe the art of clog making and enjoy lunch before wandering through the miniature Dutch village. This afternoon, visit one of the icons of the area - the world's first 'big something', The Big Banana. Here you will visit the Spectra-Vision Cinema using the latest technology to enlighten you on the benefits of the banana along with a tour to see the process of preparing the precious commodity for sale. Enjoy lunch before completing our day with a visit Carobana, the factory outlet for Carob coated confectionery. Return to the resort and relax before dinner.
Day 3
Butterflies and Botanic Gardens
After a leisurely start to the morning, we will visit the National Marine Science Centre's Solitary Islands Aquarium for a guided tour with a qualified Marine Guide. See colourful clownfish darting amongst the waving tentacles of sea anemone, crayfish and sea urchins slowly cruising over rocks and ledges and the beautiful, but poisonous lionfish gracefully looking for its next meal. Late morning continue on to Bonville. Ensure that you are wearing your bright colours today to attract the butterflies at The Butterfly House and be 'kissed' by these radiant creatures. After lunch, continue on to the North Coast Regional Botanic Gardens. Five kilometres of well made paths and boardwalks provide easy access to all garden sections, and there are directional signs, with plenty benches scattered throughout the garden where you can sit and take in the beauty of your surrounds.
Day 4
Merry Christmas
For those wishing to attend a morning church service, our crew will assist with arranging transfers. Alternatively, you can enjoy a relaxed morning to enjoy the resort facilities. Later we will gather back together for a Christmas buffet lunch with all the trimmings. This afternoon, take a scenic drive before an informal light dinner to complete our Christmas celebrations.
Day 5
Waterfall Way and Dorrigo
Head west through the Cascade National Park along part of the Waterfall Way. See Ebor Falls and Dangar Falls before visiting the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre. Visit the interpretive centre highlighting some of the local flora and fauna before a picnic lunch nearby. Return to Coffs Harbour for some free-time to enjoy the resort facilities.
Day 6
Coffs Harbour - Brisbane
After breakfast, it is time to farewell our hosts and this beautiful seaside resort. Journey via Grafton, situated on the banks of the Clarence River before travelling the Summerland Way that runs from Grafton to the Queensland border. Pass through the charming country towns of Casino, Kyogle and Rathdowney, and see glimpse's of Mt Warning and Mt Lindesay, located within the Border Ranges National Park. Stop for lunch in Beaudesert before making our way back to Brisbane where your transfers will be arranged.
