Christmas in Toowoomba

Day 1

Brisbane - Crows Nest - Toowoomba
Take the scenic route today as we travel the D'Aguilar Highway and then the New England Highway via Yarraman. Enjoy lunch and some free time in Crows Nest before continuing on to Highfields for an afternoon stop. This afternoon, settle into our accommodation for the next three nights with time to freshen up before our evening out. Visit the beautiful Christmas Wonderland light display in Queens Park which is sure to get us in the spirit for Christmas celebrations.

Day 2

Christmas Day
Merry Christmas! After a leisurely breakfast, for those wishing to attend a Christmas church service, your crew will assist with your transfers. Alternatively, the morning will be yours to enjoy at leisure. Prepare to be delighted with your Christmas lunch at Picnic Point Restaurant, perched on the edge of the Great Dividing Range, 700 metres above sea level and offering scenic views of the Lockyer Valley; it's a special way to enjoy Christmas lunch. Later we will take a scenic drive, stopping to smell the roses at the State Rose Garden where the roses will be spectacular in their summer splendor. Late afternoon, take a stroll at the Japanese Gardens 'Ju Raku En', translated from Japanese to mean "enjoying peace and longevity in a public place" and is renowned for its stunning representation of a traditional Japanese landscape design. Return to our motel for a rest before a light dinner this evening.

Day 3

Toowoomba - Liston - Winery - Jamworks
Today we will travel to Aloomba Lavender Farm just over the Qld/NSW border in Liston, for an informative tour and morning tea. Next, make our way to Stanthorpe for a visit to Ballandean Winery for a wine tasting and the opportunity to purchase some of their award winning wines. A stop at Jamworks this afternoon will give you the opportunity to purchase some gourmet jams, butters and coulis or some savoury relishes, pickles and sauces. Sit back and enjoy the journey back through Warwick to Toowoomba, prior to dinner.

Day 4

Toowoomba - Brisbane
It's time to farewell our hosts before making our way to a locally owned and operated family nursery where you will have time to explore the gardens and the range of indoor and outdoor plants and accessories to inspire your green thumb ambitions. There are also home décor and gift wear to browse in the shop. We then visit the Cobb and Co Museum where a guide will help you to explore the National Carriage Collection. Enjoy lunch in the café before returning back to Brisbane, where your crew will have your transfers arranged.
