Day 1
Brisbane - K'gari Fraser Island
Sit back and relax as we travel by coach to Hervey Bay. After lunch we transfer across the Great Sandy Strait to K'gari Fraser Island which takes approximately 50 minutes; be sure to keep an eye out for dolphins, dugong and turtles. On arrival to the island, our hosts will greet us and highlight the resort facilities. Please be aware that all rooms have showers over baths.
Day 2

Following breakfast, enjoy a Beauty Spots Tour on board one of the resort's custom built 4WD vehicle with lunch and refreshments included. See some of Fraser Island's inland highlights, including Central Station, the white sands of Seventy-Five Mile Beach, the clear waters of Eli Creek, Lake Birrabeen and Lake McKenzie. You may choose to have a swim and there will be opportunity for an optional flight over the island, taking off and landing on the beach. Please note that 4WD touring is 'off-road' style, so please be prepared for an adventurous, bumpy ride. Access to the vehicles will require you to negotiate a large, high step.
Day 3
K'gari Fraser Island - Bush Medicine Walk - West Coast Cruise
Following breakfast today we will participate in a Ranger Guided Bush Medicine Walk. Discover bush foods and medicines in the resort's grounds and learn about their use in every day Butchulla life. There will then be free-time before boarding the Sea Explorer for a cruise along the western coast of the island and explore the remarkable sights of the UNESCO-awarded Great Sandy Biosphere. Sharing their expert knowledge, your local skipper and Resort Ranger will offer guided walks and talks as you explore this idyllic natural paradise. The crew on on board the cruise will help you spot marine life along the way, including turtles, dugongs and dolphins and a range of coastal and migratory birds. There will also be opportunity to walk along the white sands and take a swim in the crystal clear waters. Return to the resort where one of the resort Chefs and Ranger Guide will explain how the native bush tucker ingredients are utilised in cooking and this evening we will indulge in a Bush Tucker inspired menu for dinner.
Day 4
K'gari Fraser Island - Guided Flora Walk - Free Afternoon
This morning learn about the flora of the island and see some of the 384 species of birds during a Ranger Guided Flora Walk. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to enjoy the resort facilities. There are four lagoon-style pools, an outdoor hot tub, tennis courts and other water sports, along with a gift shop and General Store. Enjoy lunch at the resort in the award-winning Sand and Wood restaurant as you relax on your last day at Kingfisher Bay Resort.
