Day 1
Brisbane – Toowoomba
Begin your festive short break by travelling along the Cunningham Highway through the Southern Downs rich fertile farmlands and the rolling hills of the Great Dividing Range. Arrive into Warwick, where a local guide will reveal the town’s past and present. Enjoy lunch before our journey continues via Clifton and Nobby arriving in Toowoomba for the next three nights.
Day 2
Toowoomba – Inglewood – Yelarbon Silo Art – Pittsworth
This morning after breakfast we will take a scenic drive to Yelarbon, a tiny country town located in the Goondiwindi region close to the Queensland and New South Wales Border. View the impressive Graincorp silo art which was completed in April 2020. The stunning art work titled "When the Rains Come" is 24 metres high and just short of a football field in length. Make sure your camera is fully charged for your visit today! Enjoy a catered lunch in Inglewood and return to Toowoomba stopping off in Pittsworth for a sweet treat.
Day 3
Merry Christmas
After a leisurely breakfast your crew will assist with transfers for those wishing to attend a Christmas church service. Alternatively, the morning will be yours to enjoy at leisure. Prepare to be delighted with your Christmas lunch at the ultimate venue with the most superb views, Picnic Point Restaurant. After lunch, sit back and relax on a scenic drive and town tour, stopping to smell the roses at the State Rose Garden and take in the tranquillity of the Japanese Gardens. Enjoy a light dinner this evening at our motel.
Day 4
Toowoomba – Highfields – Brisbane
Today we visit Highfields Pioneer Historical Village, covering an area of 20 acres of picturesque grounds with over 50 buildings. See what life was like for the pioneers of the Darling Downs as you wander through the faithfully restored buildings and large range of vintage machinery. Continue on via Murphy’s Creek for a country pub lunch at the Tarampa Hotel before arriving back into Brisbane where your transfers will be arranged.
