Day 1

Home - Kadina
After arriving in Adelaide, travel via Port Wakefield to Kadina, the largest town on the Yorke Peninsula. The town was founded after the discovery of copper in the area and was surveyed in 1861. Settle into our accommodation before dinner.

Day 2

Yorke Peninsula
After an early breakfast, set out to discover the heritage and beauty of the Yorke Peninsula. Travel to Moonta, a unique town steeped in history and known as "Australia's little Cornwall". A visit to the museum and train ride will take you past buildings listed in the National Trust Historic Railway Trail. Visit Minlaton, the home of Captain Harry Butler, and see his famous 'Red Devil' monoplane. Travel through Yorketown to Edithburgh and follow the eastern coastline and the Gulf of St Vincent to Androssan.

Day 3

Kadina - Whyalla
Travel to Port Broughton, and continue on through Port Pirie and Port Augusta to Whyalla. This afternoon enjoy a guided tour of the Whyalla Steel Works and later view Whyalla from Hummock Hill. Please note, all passengers are required to wear closed in shoes for the tour.

Day 4

Whyalla - Streaky Bay
After breakfast, enjoy a locally guided town tour and observe the iron ore quarries at Iron Knob before entering the sheep and wheat country enroute to Kimba. Stop at the Kimba Halfway Across Australia sign and Kimba painted silos. Continue to Streaky Bay for our overnight stay.

Day 5

Streaky Bay - Port Lincoln
Today we begin with a visit to the spectacular natural formation of ancient pink granite called Murphy's Haystacks near Calca. View the rock formations from the Eye of the Needle Lookout near Port Kenny before following the coastline via Venus Bay to Elliston. This afternoon visit Coffin Bay for an oyster tasting and shucking experience. Hear the history of the area and the oyster farming practices of the famous Coffin Bay Oyster while sitting by the waters edge as you taste oysters fresh out of the sea. Late afternoon, check into our accommodation for the next three nights.

Day 6

Whalers Way National Park reveals some of the most spectacular southern coastline. Casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended for today; but for those not wishing to journey far, there is plenty of spectacular scenery visible from near the coach. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the National Park before visiting Constantia, one of the world's last workshops accredited to the International Guild of Master Craftsmen, with an international reputation for fine furniture and furniture design.

Day 7

Port Lincoln
After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Port Lincoln before a visit to Koppio's Smithy Museum. Next, visit to the Axel Stenross Maritime Museum. Not only does it have a slipway in full working order, but most of the exhibits can be handled.

Day 8

Port Lincoln - Port Pirie
This morning we journey via Tumby Bay, well known for its white sandy beaches and unspoilt coastline, before visiting Cowell. Travel on to Port Augusta, situated at the head of the Spencer Gulf, before arriving into Port Pirie for the night.

Day 9

Port Pirie - Home
After breakfast, our tour makes it's way back into Adelaide where we will enjoy lunch together before checking in for your flight home.
