Before road transport, a riverboat milk pick-up service operated for the dairy farmers who farmed along its banks. The river is formed in the Kyle Range near Gangat, flowing eastwards for 72 kilometres and descends 271 metres before joining the Coolongolook River at Wallis Lake, behind the town of Tuncurry. Fare includes cruise, morning tea, ploughmans lunch and dessert.
