Day 1

Home - Mount Isa
Your flight to Mount Isa will begin your tour of some of our country's most beautiful and untouched wilderness. Arrive early evening into Mount Isa where the lights of the mine site will be a beacon in the wilderness. Transfer to your accommodation for dinner.

Day 2

Mount Isa - Barkly Homestead - Tennant Creek
It soon becomes apparent just how big our country is. Stop in Camooweal for morning tea before crossing the border into the Northern Territory. From here we will travel past Avon Downs Cattle Station and stop for lunch at Barkly Homestead. Continue on to the Three Ways, where the Barkly and Stuart Highways meet, before arriving into Tennant Creek for our overnight stay.

Day 3

Tennant Creek - Mataranka - Katherine
Travel from Tennant Creek to Renner Springs, home to an abundance of birdlife. Continue on to the famous Daly Waters Hotel for lunch before enjoying a well-deserved afternoon break at the Mataranka Thermal Pools for a therapeutic soak. Please note that thongs or slip on shoes are recommended for the walk to the creek.

Day 4

Katherine - Kakadu
Today begins with an early start and breakfast will be a Continential Breakfast Pack provided to your room. Join a dawn Katherine Gorge cruise and be in awe of the sheer walls of red ochre and sandstone. Continue on via Pine Creek to Kakadu National Park where we will board our Yellow Water Cruise, seeing jabiru and magpie geese and of course, crocodiles. Late afternoon, check into our accommodation before dinner.

Day 5

Kakadu - Darwin
Nourlangie Rock and Ubirr (Obiri Rock) are two of the best examples of Australian Aboriginal art sites in the Top End. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre in Jabiru for information, souvenirs and lunch. Continue on towards Darwin, stopping to photograph animals, birds and huge termite mounds along the way. This afternoon, settle into our accommodation for the next three nights before dressing for an evening out. Enjoy a delicious buffet dinner at the Jetty Restaurant before returning to our hotel for a well-earned rest.

Day 6

Tiwi Islands
Today is bound to be an amazing experience as we embark on our Tiwi Islands art and culture day tour. Departing Darwin, we cruise on board a highspeed catamaran before disembarking in the Aboriginal community of Wurrumiyanga on Bathurst Island. Here we will meet our Tiwi guide who will escort us to the Tiwi Design Art Centre where local artists and dancers will perform a traditional Welcome to Country with a smoking ceremony and totem dances. The Tiwi Islands have been nicknamed as the 'Island of Smiles' and is famous for their traditional lifestyle, stunning artworks, vibrant fabrics and textiles. Participate in an art session if you choose and enjoy a guided tour of the old Catholic Church. Late afternoon, return to Darwin where we will freshen up before dinner back at our accommodation.

Day 7

Darwin Sightseeing
Today we explore Darwin, beginning with the impressive Parliament House. Visit the fascinating Crocodylus Park, a world class research and education centre devoted to crocodilians. Enjoy some free time this afternoon to discover Darwin at your leisure. This evening, enjoy a spectacular dinner cruise and as the sun sets, watch the sky light up in magical colours reflecting off the water and showcasing the tropical coastline of Darwin.

Day 8

Darwin - Home
After breakfast, we will take one last look around Darwin before being transferred to the airport, where your crew will assist with your check in.
