Day 1

Home - Canberra - Yass
Your tour begins with a flight into Canberra, where our Coach Captain and Hostess will be waiting to greet you. Enjoy lunch before making our way to Cooma for a visit to Cooma House, once the home of explorer Hamilton Hume. Learn the history of this pioneer constructed dwelling before settling into our accommodation for the the next two nights.

Day 2

Boorowa Irish Woolfest
This morning after breakfast, travel to Boorowa, a quaint country town with tree lined streets, heritage buildings and a rich pastoral history that produces fine merino wool and prime quality lamb. One of the highlights for the day will be the Running of the Sheep. This is an opportunity to see Boorowa's fine Merino sheep up close. The main street will then come alive with a street parade and country festival with a myriad of activities focused on wool and Irish music.

Day 3

Yass - Goulburn
Today we farewell Yass and travel to Gunning. Visit Pye Cottage Museum, a slab hut museum with household items and agricultural artifacts, central to the rich wool heritage of the area. Continue on to Goulburn, Australia's first inland city. See the Heritage listed former railway workshops at the Rail Heritage Museum before relaxing over lunch. Later we'll hear about the towns first reticulated water supply at the Historic Waterworks Museum before checking into our accommodation.

Day 4

Goulburn - Crookwell
The undulating tablelands surrounding Goulburn are most famous for wool production, however, the region is also dotted with many wind turbines. Before arriving in Crookwell, stop at the viewing area for the Crookwell Wind Farm situated high on the Great Dividing Range more than 900m above sea level. Consisting of eight wind turbines, this was the first grid connected wind farm in Australia. On arrival into Crookwell, a local guide will board our coach for a town tour, providing an overview of the history and modernday features of the town. Visit Lindner Sock Factory where you'll discover how they make all their socks right in the back of their store. Next visit St Bartholomew's Anglican Church and enjoy the sounds of the largest digital pipe organ in the southern hemisphere. To complete our day of touring, stop at Kingsdale Wines for a tasting before returning to our motel for dinner.

Day 5

Wombeyan Caves - Taralga
This morning travel to Wombeyan Caves where there will be opportunity to access one of the caves on a self guided tour. To participate in this activity you will need a reasonable level of fitness level and good sturdy walking shoes. Please note that walkers are not permitted inside the cave and there are 14 stairs to negotiate. Later, travel back to Taralga where we'll enjoy lunch before a guided town tour. Visit Taralga Historical Museum and take a fascinating glimpse into yesteryear before returning to our motel for dinner.

Day 6

Goulburn - Home
Today we'll take a guided tour of Goulburn and learn more about Australia's first inland city from a local guide. After morning tea, we'll make our way to Sydney Airport, stopping for lunch along the way. We will then farewell our Queensland passengers as they board their flight back to Brisbane and our New South Wales passengers will continue back to the Hunter where our crew will have your transfers arranged.
