Day 1
Brisbane - Gympie - Maryborough
This morning we make our way to the Gympie Gold Mining and Historical Museum. Gympie has an important and colourful history and the museum plays a large role in preserving memorabilia from the early gold mining era and has displays of military, rural, transport, communications and steam development. Following lunch, continue north to Maryborough, where we will spend the next two nights.
Day 2
Childers Festival
Today we visit the Childers Festival, a major cultural event on the Queensland Events calendar and the only festival in Queensland that sees part of the Bruce Highway closed for the day. Childers will come alive as people converge on this small town to enjoy over 400 stalls with an incredible range of wares, delicious cuisine from all around the world and five stages of non-stop multicultural entertainment. Take time to purchase your own morning tea and lunch as you stroll around the festival. Return to our motel to freshen up before enjoying dinner.
Day 3
Maryborough - Tewantin - Brisbane
Before departing Maryborough today, a local guide will join us onboard the coach for a town tour highlighting the preserved colonial streets and the history and heritage of what was one of Australia's largest and busiest ports. A Devonshire morning tea completes your morning before our journey takes us through to Nambour for lunch. This afternoon, we will travel back into Brisbane where your transfers will be arranged.
