Day 1
Brisbane - Nambucca Heads
Your tour begins with transfers to meet our friendly crew before travelling the Pacific Highway to Nerang for a cuppa. Continue on to the historic New Italy Village with its Museum and Italian Pavilion. After lunch, our journey takes us via Coffs Harbour before arriving in Nambucca Heads, settling into our accommodation for the next three nights.
Day 2
Nambucca Heads - South West Rocks - Kempsey
After breakfast, we travel to South West Rocks and Arakoon National Park, home to the historic Trial Bay Gaol. Step back in time during a guided tour and take in the views from the sentry's lookout. It must have been a strange feeling building a prison in such a beautiful setting. When then make our way to Kempsey for a visit to the Slim Dusty Centre. As you stroll through the museum, learn about the incredible lives of Slim and Joy through personal items and images from the Kirkpatrick's own family archive, as well as contributions from fans and friends all over the world.
Day 3
Nambucca Heads - Port Macquarie
Today we travel to Port Macquarie, beginning with a cruise on board the MV Port Venture. Enjoy a Devonshire morning tea while watching for dolphins frolicking in the bow waves. We then continue on to Guulabaa - Place of Koala, where Koala Conservation Australia operates the world's first wild Koala breeding facility on site, and where you can learn about the ongoing rejuvenation of the species. Next, visit Ricardoes Tomatoes and Strawberries, an environmentally friendly farm where computerised technology controls 2 acres of greenhouses.
Day 4
Nambucca Heads - Brisbane
It's time to farewell our hosts as we travel to Grafton, located on the banks of the Clarence River, for a cuppa. From here, join the Summerland Way, a 199-kilometre state route that wends its way through picturesque farm lands and small townships. Enjoy lunch in Kyogle prior to traversing the foothills of Mount Lindsay and Mount Barney, travelling through Rathdowney and Beaudesert, before arriving back into Brisbane where your transfers will be arranged.
