Day 1
Home - Yulara
Our tour begins with a flight into Ayers Rock Airport where your crew will be waiting to greet you. Once on board our coach, we'll head into Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park where there'll be time to explore the cultural centre located near the base of Uluru. Develop a better understanding of the Anangu culture before taking time to explore the Uluru base walk, concentrating on one or more sections depending on your level of fitness. Watch the sun set over Uluru and be in awe of the spectacular colours on show.
Day 2
Yulara - Marla
Today we travel along the Lasseter Highway stopping at Mt Connor for morning tea. Continue on to Erldunda, at the junction of the Stuart Highway, for lunch before making our way through Kulgera which is close to the geographical central point of Australia. Stop at the border crossing before arriving into Marla, one of South Australia's newest outback communities, for our overnight stay.
Day 3
Marla - Coober Pedy
After breakfast, our journey takes us to the underground town of Coober Pedy. Scattered for miles around, the opal mines give the area an appearance of being on another planet. An informative guided tour of the town and the Umoona Opal Mine and Museum reveals some distinctive underground dwellings in Coober Pedy's largest single underground tourist attraction and is a great opportunity to purchase Australia's national gem. See the fire within that makes it so sought after.
Day 4
Today is at your leisure. Perhaps do some more exploring around this underground township or alternatively, choose to travel on one of the following optional tours.

Day 5
Coober Pedy - Port Augusta
Today continue travelling south on the Stuart Highway. The vastness of Australia is now very apparent as we pass through Glendambo and the 'Woomera Prohibited Area' where people are unable to enter the surrounding land without a tourist access permit. Stop at the Woomera Heritage Centre and Rocket Range Museum. After lunch at the centre, continue on to Port Augusta.
Day 6
Port Augusta - Hawker - Wilpena Pound
After breakfast, travel to Hawker for a visit to Jeff Morgan Gallery. Housed across several large enclosures, see the displays of model cars, memorabilia and painted panoramas. Continue on to Wilpena Pound, the iconic natural amphitheatre in the heart of Ikara - Flinders Ranges National Park. Enjoy a picnic lunch before taking a leisurely walk towards the centre of the pound where you can start to take in the ancient rock formations that have shaped this area over millions of years. Explore the old farm buildings of the early settlers as you make your way along the track. This afternoon, check into our accommodation before enjoying a drink as you watch the sun set over the ranges and the giant gum trees.
Day 7
Wilpena Pound Free Day
Today is at your leisure. You may choose to join one of the optional tours available (additional cost). Perhaps board the resort's 4WD for a half day tour and marvel at the rugged beauty of the Brachina and Bunyeroo Gorges or take a scenic flight over Wilpena Pound, the Elder Range, Edeowie Gorge, St Mary Peak and the Pound Gap. Alternatively, there are a number of walking tours which can be booked through the information Centre (at additional cost) and hiking trails available for you to enjoy during your stay. Purchase your own lunch today to suit your activities.
Day 8
Wilpena Pound - Adelaide
After breakfast it's time to farewell Wilpena Pound and the stunning Ikara - Flinders Ranges. Travel to Port Augusta, formerly known as a seaport due to its location on the east coast of the Spencer Gulf, but is now a road traffic and railway junction with the Stuart Highway heading north to the Northern Territory, the Eyre Highway heading west to the Nullarbor and the Princess Highway heading South to Adelaide. Visit Wadlata Outback Centre and wander through the "Tunnel of Time" with interactive displays depicting the creation of Ikara - Flinders Ranges through to the brave treks and tales from the early settlers. After lunch we continue on to Adelaide to settle into our motel before dinner.
Day 9
Adelaide - Home
It is time to farewell Adelaide this morning as we transfer to the Airport where our crew will assist with your check in for your flight home where your tranfer home has been arranged.
