Lights of Vivid

Day 1

Brisbane - Port Macquarie
Today you will be welcomed on board by your Coach Captain and Hostess, before traversing south along the Pacific Highway. Travel via Maclean and Coffs Harbour, before arriving into Port Macquarie for our overnight stay.

Day 2

Port Macquarie - Sydney
After breakfast, we make our way to Sydney, stopping for morning tea and lunch along the way. This afternoon, visit Dark Spectrum, an immersive experience located in the Wynyard Tunnels. Move through the kilometre long display to discover a secret spectrum of touchable colour where this kaleidoscopic of light, sound and colour collide. We'll then enjoy a spectacular evening on our dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour. VIVID Sydney brings together light installations, music and projections like no other. It's an amazing sight to see the lights on the buildings and open spaces turn on, bringing the foreshore to life.

Day 3

Sydney - Free Day
Today is at your leisure. With our accommodation being centrally located at Darling Harbour, you can venture out on the light rail or ferry (both terminals are close by), or perhaps stroll along the foreshore at Darling Harbour and enjoy some of the cafes or restaurants (all options are own expense.) Perhaps visit the Australian National Maritime Museum, Sydney Sea Life Aquarium, Madame Tussauds, Chinese Friendship Gardens or take a ride on the Sydney Hop on Hop off bus that covers Sydney's highlights and Bondi. You may also choose to ride the Darling Harbour Ferris Wheel or visit the Star City Casino which is within walking distance from our accommodation. This evening, join back together for an early dinner before heading to Circular Quay to see more VIVID installations.

Day 4

Ku-Ring-Gai - Palm Beach - Darling Harbour
This morning we travel to Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park, taking in the magnificent views from West Head Lookout. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Broken Bay, Pittwater and Barrenjoey Headland and Lighthouse. You can also see across the Hawkesbury River to Lion Island Nature Reserve and the beaches of the Central Coast. Continue on to Palm Beach, one of Sydney's high-end beachside suburbs and playground of the nation's rich and famous. Enjoy a picnic lunch before travelling south, taking in glimpses of the Northern Beaches. Stop in Manly for some free time before returning to our accommodation to relax and freshen up for our evening out. Enjoy dinner at Skyfeast, located 82 floors above the city in the iconic Sydney Tower, offering a birds-eye view of the VIVID lights below. Afterwards, there will be time to see more of the installations in and around Circular Quay.

Day 5

Sydney - Brisbane
After breakfast, we farewell our hosts and make our way to Kamay National Park, located at Botany Bay with the northern headland at La Perouse and the southern headland at Kurnell near Cronulla. Today we see Captain Cook's landing place and the place of encounter between Aboriginal Australians and the crew of the HMB Endeavour in 1770. This heritage-listed site is an important place in Australian history. Enjoy lunch at Cronulla before arriving at Sydney Airport for our flight home. On arrival back into Brisbane, you will be met by our staff who will have your transfers arranged.
