Day 1

Brisbane – Nobby – Warwick
Travel via Toowoomba and down through Greenmount to see relics of the past including a replica of Steele Rudd’s Shingle Hut. Enjoy lunch at Rudd’s Pub which was named one of Queensland’s Best Bush Pubs in recent years. Here you can also view the photos and memorabilia that adorn the walls and learn about the amazing work of Sister Elizabeth Kenny who pioneered the treatment of infantile paralysis - a real Saint in the eyes of polio victims. Take in the stunning scenery with the area’s patchwork countryside as you travel to Allora before a visit to The Warwick & District Historical Society Museum Complex. See the sandstone Pringle Cottage which was built around 1870 and collections of photographs, farming equipment and buildings featuring furniture and household items representing over 130 years of family life.

Day 2

Southern Downs Railway - Tenterfield
After an early breakfast, nostalgia abounds. Travel on the historic Southern Downs Steam Railway from Warwick to Wallangarra. You will have glimpses of the sheer beauty in this area as you travel along the train tracks and climb the Silverwood Range to Dalveen and on to The Summit, recognised as Queensland’s railway station with the highest altitude. Stop for a short break in Stanthorpe before continuing your train journey through the Granite Belt, arriving into Wallangarra where lunch will be served in the Railway Refreshment Rooms. Reboard
our coach and travel to Tenterfield.

Day 3

Tenterfield – Brisbane
After breakfast, travel through Tabulam, Mallanganee and Mummulgum before morning tea in Casino. Continue your journey through the Northern Rivers area and on to Kingscliff. Enjoy lunch before travelling back into Brisbane where your crew will have your transfers arranged.
