Home - Norfolk Island
Enjoy a friendly welcome to Norfolk Island before we transfer to our accommodation. Take time to settle in with some free time. Later this afternoon, depart for a typical Island Fish Fry with island dishes in a stunning sunset location. Tonight we view the Wonderland by Night Show, set amongst a magical setting of Norfolk Pines and bushland lit up like an enchanted forest.
This morning enjoy a Half Day Island Tour visiting historic Kingston, Cascade, Longridge and much more. See and hear about the famous convict buildings, beautiful beaches, golf course and Melanesian Chapel. This afternoon we will visit Cyclorama. This amazing, unusual attraction displays one of only a handful of paintings of this type in the world. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure. Tonight we will venture out to visit different island homes during an Island Progressive Dinner.
Today we get a real insight into the lifestyle on Norfolk Island, meet the people and see the industries in actions. On this day tour, we visit a few of the locally owned businesses making different local products that we are able to see - and maybe have a taste! We will also enjoy morning tea at a beautiful scenic location. Tonight we take a tour with the Ghost of the convict surgeon, Dr Everett, who will take you down to one of the old homes at Kingston, for dinner in the old Georgian home. Over dinner hear the stories of the home and then afterwards, there is a lantern walk and coach tour through Kingston. The tour is not scary but rather more historical and hysterical!
This morning we join the Greenfinger Tour featuring some of the island's gardens. Our local historian will give a talk on the area with a history dating back to 1788. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. This evening, with convict outfits supplied for Night as a Convict, you'll be 'transported' dressed as a convict to join the Commandant and Officers for a night of fun, gaiety, feasting and entertainment.
The Breakfast Bush Walk is an enticing BBQ Brekkie on the spectacular headland overlooking Anson Bay. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. This evening, travel to the beautiful old Banyan Tree to enjoy the fabulous views as the sun sets before a relaxed island style dinner. This evening be prepared to be mesmerized by the Sound and Light Show Tour which will leave you with a new found appreciation for the island's history.
There will be opportunity to attend a Church Service before joining the Indulgence Tour where we will visit Ball Bay before moving on to Steeles Point. From here, we head to the Captain Cook Monument, offering some of the best sea views on the Island. Tonight you will dine at Hilli Restaurant.
Today we celebrate Bounty Day (or Anniversary Day). Transfer to Kingston to watch a longboat re-enactment with Pitcairners landing on Norfolk Island. Then enjoy a picnic feast among the historic ruins as arranged by Pinetree Tours. This evening enjoy dinner at our motel.
