Day 1
Brisbane - Norfolk Island
Enjoy a friendly welcome to Norfolk Island before we transfer to our accommodation with time to settle in. Tonight we take a tour with the ghost of the convict surgeon, Dr Everett, who will take you down to one of the old homes at Kingston for dinner in the old Georgian home. Over dinner hear the stories of the home and then afterwards, there is a lantern walk and coach tour through Kingston. The tour is not scary but rather more historical and hysterical!
Day 2
Half Day Island Tour - Wonderland By Night
There will be opportunity to attend church at the historic St Barnabas Chapel today. Alternatively, the morning is at your leisure. This afternoon, take a tour of historic Kingston, Cascade, Longridge and more. See and hear about the famous convict buildings, beautiful beaches, golf course and Melanesian Chapel. Tonight we will enjoy a BBQ dinner and a magical evening at Wonderland by Night, where we will walk through a wooded Norfolk forest with thousands of fairy lights arched overhead, illuminating towering Norfolk Pines and creating a truly fairy-tale-like atmosphere.
Day 3
Glass Bottom Boat - Farm Tour - Progressive Dinner
This morning enjoy gliding over Norfolk Island's reef onboard a Glass Bottom Boat. See the beauty of one of the most southernly coral reefs in the world with an array of coral gardens and tropical fish. Next we visit a local farm for a scrumptious lunch and to learn about the cooking traditions from the Tahitian forbearers. Tonight, we will venture out to visit different island homes during an Island Progressive Dinner.
Day 4
Long Table Gourmet Dinner
Today we'll discover the hidden gems of the local Norfolk industries. Meet the skilled artisans and entrepreneurs behind the island's thriving businesses as they showcase their unique crafts and specialties. We then join a Women of Norfolk tour to learn about the captivating stories of Norfolk Island's exceptional women who have played a pivotal role and helped shape its history. This evening we are in for a very special treat; it's time to dress up for the Long Table Dinner. Please note the dress code for this evening is Cocktail wear, so be sure to pack your finery. You will be greeted with a welcome glass of bubbles before a three course, alternate drop gourmet dinner offering a mesmerising ambiance.
Day 5
Thanksgiving Day Celebrations
Happy Thanksgiving! Norfolk Island is one of the few places outside of America that officially celebrates Thanksgiving, dating back to the 1800s when American whalers lived on the island. The day begins with a special Thanksgiving service at All Saints Church, celebrating the Lord's gifts throughout year. View the displays of produce and cooking and hear the Chapel Choir perform. Afterwards, enjoy a true Thanksgiving feast, including wine and orange juice. This evening we will relax over a light dinner at our accommodation.
Day 6
Breakfast BBQ - Indulgence Tour - Fish Fry
This morning you can choose to take a leisurely stroll to explore the lush Palm Glen Reserve, or for the more active, take a 3.5km walk through the scenic Mt. Bates - the highest point on the island, to Captain Cook Monument. We then enjoy a scrumptious breakfast BBQ overlooking Anson Bay. The remainder of the morning is at your leisure. This afternoon, we'll visit Ball Bay before moving on to Steeles Point, taking in some of the best sea views on the Island. This afternoon, depart for a typical Island Fish Fry in a stunning sunset location before experiencing Norfolk's Sound and Light show where, with the help of real-life sounds, theatrical lighting and costumed actors, the drama of Norfolk Island's convict era comes alive.
Day 7
Greenfinger Tour - Night As A Convict
Today we take a tour featuring some of the island's gardens and our local historian will give a talk on the area, with a history dating back to 1788. This afternoon, visit Cyclorama, an amazing and unusual attraction which displays one of only a handful of paintings of this type in the world. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure. Tonight, step back in time and experience the thrill of a convict's life during the Night as a Convict dinner. The evening is all about fun, laughter and letting loose. Dress up in a convict suit and join the Commandant for an evening of gaiety, feasting, singing, dancing, and maybe even some bawdy humour. We'll provide the outfit, and all you need to bring is your sense of humour!
Day 8
Norfolk Island - Brisbane
Today we bid farewell to our hosts before boarding our flight back to Brisbane, where on arrival, your transfers will be arranged.
