Day 1
Brisbane - Armidale
Departing Brisbane, we make our way through the Granite Belt to Tenterfield, a well renowned country town with many historic buildings dating back to the mid-19th century. After lunch, continue on via Glen Innes and Guyra before arriving in Armidale for our overnight stay.
Day 2
Armidale - Pokolbin
Continuing south, descend the Moonbi Ranges and travel to Tamworth. Traverse the Upper Hunter Valley via Murrurundi and Muswellbrook where we'll stop for lunch. We then continue on via Singleton to the beautiful Hunter Valley Gardens, our first garden visit on this tour. Be amazed by the sensational sights, colours and fragrances of the ten stunning feature gardens spanning over 60 acres.
Day 3
Hunter Valley - Blue Mountains
After breakfast we welcome our Hunter passengers on board before travelling towards the Blue Mountains, stopping for a cuppa along the way. Continue on to Bygone Beauties in Leura which is sure to have you reflecting back to a bygone era. After lunch, visit Everglades Historic House and Gardens, a stunning Art Deco home amidst 5.2ha of graceful gardens. Take time to explore before transferring to our overnight accommodation.
Day 4
Blue Mountains - Corbett Gardens - Mittagong
Today our journey takes us via Penrith, Mulgoa and Silverdale to Mittagong for lunch. This afternoon, we continue on to Bowral, nestled at the base of Mount Gibraltar in the Southern Highlands. Visit Corbett Park, the site of the annual Bowral Tulip Festival, to view the stunning tulip displays. We will also stop at Centennial Vineyard, a cool climate grape growing and winemaking vineyard, where there will be opportunity to taste some of their speciality wines.
Day 5
Fitzroy Falls - Berrima - Mittagong
Our day begins with a visit to Fitzroy Falls in Morton National Park where a short walk along the boardwalk to the lookout offers spectacular views of the falls and valley. Next, stop at Leighton Gardens where the tulips will be in their full glory. Continue on to Berrima and take time to purchase your own lunch as you explore this historic township. Afterwards, wander through the unique cool climate gardens at The Red Cow Farm before returning to our motel.
Day 6
Mittagong - Canberra
This morning we visit the esteemed Bradman Museum and the International Cricket Hall of Fame. Continue on to Goulburn for lunch before resuming our journey to Canberra. Venture into Cockington Green Gardens, a delightful and fascinating display of meticulously crafted miniature buildings, set within beautifully landscaped gardens. Late afternoon settle into our accommodation for the next two nights.
Day 7
Tulip Top Gardens - Canberra Floriade
We start our day with a visit to Tulip Top Gardens where the tulips and other spring flowers create a spectacular display with hundreds of blossom trees nestled between the flowers, providing a magic pathway for a stroll through their beautiful grounds. Following morning tea at the gardens, we will continue on to Commonwealth Park for Canberra's Floriade, showcasing one million flowers in bloom; it's the perfect place to experience the beauty of spring. Purchase your own lunch before an afternoon visit to the Canberra Glassworks. You will be amazed by the glass artworks on display and inspired by the various items these artisans can produce. Return to your motel to freshen up before dinner.
Day 8
Canberra - Sydney - Home
After breakfast, we will take a drive past the wide array of Embassies and High Commissions, each offering a glimpse into the architecture and culture of the nations they represent. It's then time to farewell Canberra, making our way via Lake George and on to Sydney. After lunch, we will make our way to Sydney Airport where our Queensland passengers will board their flight home to Brisbane, and our New South Wales passengers will return on the coach back to The Hunter.
