Day 1
Brisbane - The Great Southern
Your tour begins today with a transfer to board The Great Southern train. After setting off from Brisbane, enjoy lunch on board before settling into your private cabin. This afternoon, we'll arrive in the coastal town of Coffs Harbour and as the sun dips beneath the horizon, enjoy a unique beachside dinner where you'll feast on local produce and fresh seafood matched with fine wines, while the waves lap at the shore nearby. Reboard the train and set off for the night.
Day 2
The Great Southern
Enjoy breakfast onboard the train before setting off for a full day of Off Train Experiences. Choose from a variety of options such as a tour through the picturesque Hunter Valley vineyards, a 4WD experience to the impressive Stockton Bight Sand Dunes or perhaps discover the beautiful coastal city of Newcastle during a guided walking tour. Late afternoon, return to the train to enjoy a regionally-inspired meal prepared on board before retiring for the night.
Day 3
The Great Southern
After enjoying breakfast on board as you travel through Victoria's High Country, you'll have a choice of Off Train Experiences again today. Discover regional Victoria with options including wine tours, gourmet delights, visits to natural sights and charming towns. Reboard the train for a restful night as we make our way across the border into South Australia.
Day 4
The Great Southern - Adelaide
Happy New Year! As the train rolls into Adelaide, enjoy your last breakfast on board and the end of your Great Southern train journey. On arrival into Keswick Station, our Coach Captain will be waiting to welcome us on board for a guided tour of Adelaide and Glenelg. Purchase your own lunch in Glenelg before touring the city. This afternoon, settle into our accommodation for the next two nights.
Day 5
Adelaide - Adelaide Hills - Hahndorf
Today we are heading for the hills! Visit Mt Lofty Lookout before continuing on to Harndorf, known for its original German-style architecture and heritage. Purchase your own lunch before travelling to Beerenberg Farm for a talk and tasting. There will also be opportunity to browse the shop and purchase homemade jams and chutneys if you choose.
Day 6
Adelaide - Brisbane
This morning enjoy breakfast before transferring to the airport for our flights home, where on arrival, your transfers will be arranged.
