Warwick, Allora including Apple and Grape Festival

Day 1

" Brisbane - Warwick
Travel the Cunningham Highway to Bestbrook Mountain Resort, where some good old fashioned fun and hospitality is awaiting your arrival. Enjoy the traditional billy tea and damper on arrival, before taking a wander through the Coach House grounds and stables. You will be taken back in time with all the collectables that have been gathered. Later, sit back and relax on the verandah as lunch is served and this afternoon, we will make our way to Warwick to learn of some of its 150 year history during a locally guided town tour. Settle into our accommodation for the next two nights.

Day 2

Apple and Grape Festival Day
'Crushing it' since 1966 - the Apple and Grape Festival has so much to do and see. Spend the day wandering the festival and enjoy the many activities and entertainment on offer. Stroll the main street to view the decorated shop windows and purchase your own lunch before watching the Grand Parade. This afternoon, see the hilarity of the Queensland Grape Crushing Championships where media teams, celebrities and dignitaries battle it out with their fancy footwork to tread a barrel of grapes into a 2 litre container of juice! Late afternoon we will return to our accommodation for dinner and a well earned rest.

Day 3

Stanthorpe - Allora - Brisbane
Today we visit 'The Best Little Town on the Downs' - Allora. With a population of less than 1000, Allora has a strong sense of history, with an old-time charming streetscape, heritage buildings and memorials. Enjoy museum visits, morning tea, a locally guided tour and lunch. It is then time to farewell the Southern Downs region and travel back to Brisbane, where your transfers will be arranged.
