Day 2

Adelaide Zoo and Hahndorf
This morning, take a stroll through Adelaide Zoo where, on a guided tour, you will come face to face with some of the 2,500 animals, including 2 Giant Pandas on exchange from the People’s Republic of China. Enjoy morning tea at the zoo before making our way to Hahndorf, the jewel of the Adelaide Hills and one of South Australia’s most popular towns. Hahndorf has a unique ‘village feel’ about it and the main street is lined with eateries, souvenir and gift shops, clothing and leather goods, craft outlets and galleries. Purchase your own lunch at one of the pubs offering authentic German fare or one of the many restaurants or bakeries and take your time to enjoy the strong German heritage that is unique to this village. Return to your motel for dinner.

Day 3

Barossa Valley
Today our journey takes us to the Barossa Valley - one of Australia’s oldest and finest wine producing regions dating back to German settlement. The magic of the Barossa Valley’s world-acclaimed wines lies in the diversity of its growing conditions. This also makes it renowned for its fresh seasonal produce, artisan food producers and award-winning restaurants. A visit to the Whispering Wall is a must and you’ll be keen to experience this acoustic phenomenon where a whisper can be heard more than 100 metres away. Visit the award winning Lyndoch Lavender Farm and Café to enjoy a welcome cuppa and the opportunity to purchase quality merchandise. Next we will travel to Barossa Chateau, while taking in the views of the breathtaking vineyard and roses. Here we sample some award winning wines before purchasing your own lunch in Tanunda; be sure to look through the amazing Wohler’s store while there. This afternoon we will stop at Mengler’s Hill Lookout to capture the breathtaking panorama of sprawling vineyards and the quaint townships of Lyndoch, Tanunda and Seppeltsfield nestled in the scenic valley. Visit the world’s largest rocking horse in Gumeracha, browsing through the Toy Factory’s wonderful range of crafted toys, puzzles and souvenirs. Enjoy a drive through apple orchard country at Forest Range as we return to the motel late afternoon.
