Jacaranda Trail and The Waterfall Way

Brisbane – Grafton
This morning we make our way to the historic village of Tumbulgum. Nestled on the banks of the Tweed River is the Tumbulgum Tavern (or the “Tumby Pub” as it’s affectionately known by the locals). Take in the views during lunch before continuing via Byron Bay and Lennox Heads, arriving into Grafton.

Day 2 B, L, D

Grafton
At this time of year, Grafton is ablaze with colour with Jacaranda trees lining the avenues. Visit the Grafton TAFE Markets and purchase your own morning Tea. Continue on to Schaeffer House, where memories of bygone years will be provoked. After lunch, view some of the open gardens before enjoying the spectacular Jacaranda Festival Parade. Return to our motel for dinner.

Day 3 B, L, D

Grafton – Armidale
Today we meander along Waterfall Way to the Bellinger Valley, stopping in the township of Bellingen. Enjoy a visit to the Old Butter Factory with time to purchase morning tea before continuing on to see Dangar Falls. Take in the bird’s eye view from the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre. Following lunch, travel through the New England World Heritage National Park and on to Armidale.

Day 4 B, L

Armidale – Brisbane
Following a town tour of Armidale, travel through many beautiful towns, each with it’s own unique story. Stop in Jennings, on the New South Wales and Queensland border, for lunch at the historic Hotel Jennings. Continue back to Brisbane, where your transfers will be arranged.
