It is a memorable experience to attend the National War Memorial’s Anzac Day National Ceremony and March. Join together to pay tribute to and remember those who have served, both past and present. Day 1

Home - Canberra
After flying into Canberra, we will make our way into the foothills of the Brindabellas for lunch and a tour of one of Australia's premier properties, Lanyon Homestead. Experience the restored 1850s homestead, discover the convict-era outbuildings and explore the stunning gardens. Late afternoon, we will settle into our accommodation for the next five nights.

Day 2

Canberra Anzac Day
Anzac Day in the Nations Capital is a unique experience. It will be a very early morning departure for the open air, Dawn Service at the Australian War Memorial. Be sure to take warm clothing. After breakfast back at our accommodation, we will take our places to watch the Anzac Day Parade. After lunch, take time to explore the Australian War Memorial. We will stay until closing today when a moving Last Post Ceremony is held in the Commonwealth Courtyard and shares the story behind one of the names on the Roll of Honour.

Day 3

Australian Institute of Sport - Cockington Green
Go behind the scenes at the Australian Institute of Sport before making our way to Cockington Green, a delightful and fascinating display of meticulously crafted miniature buildings set within beautifully landscaped gardens. This afternoon visit the High Court of Australia for a guided tour of this 40metre tall structure with its Great Hall and three courtrooms.

Day 4

National Museum - Parliament House
Our morning begins with a self guided tour of the Historic All Saints Church which was built in the mid 1800s as the railway station at Rookwood Cemetery in Sydney, and painstakingly dismantled and transported stone by stone to Canberra where it was erected in 1958. View the stained glass War Memorial window dedicated to those of the Parish and district who gave their lives in the second World War. Continue on to the National Museum of Australia for a self guided tour before enjoying some free time to browse the city centre and purchase your own lunch. This afternoon we will take a guided tour of Parliament House - a symbol of Australian democracy, meeting place of the Nation, and focal point of Canberra.

Day 5

Embassy Tour - Australian Mint - Markets and Gallery
This morning drive past some of the unique and beautiful Embassies before a tour of the Royal Australian Mint. See where circulation coins, medals, medallions, seals and tokens are manufactured. Take time to purchase your own lunch at the Old Bus Depot Markets before visiting the National Portrait and Art Gallery, which houses more than 100,000 works of art and many world-class art exhibitions.

Day 6

Canberra - Home
This morning after breakfast visit Mt Ainslie Lookout for a view over our Nations capital. See Lake Burley Griffin, many of Canberra's national attractions and the mountain ranges surrounding the city. Visit the House of Representatives Gardens before an early cuppa, ready for your flight home.
