New Year In Hervey Bay

Day 1

Brisbane - Hervey Bay
Your New Year tour to the Fraser Coast begins with a scenic drive through the Sunshine Coast Hinterland in the foothills of the picturesque Glasshouse Mountains. Stop off in Montville for a little retail therapy or perhaps some window shopping before travelling via Mapleton and on to Nambour for lunch at a local club. This afternoon our journey takes us through Maryborough and on to Hervey Bay, where we'll settle in for the next three nights.

Day 2

Sandy Straits Scenic Cruise and Australiana Cottage
Today we cruise the pristine waters of the Great Sandy Strait, including locations such as Woody Island, North White Cliffs, Ungowa and Garry's Anchorage. Sit back, relax and spot the wildlife as we experience the beauty of the Great Sandy Marine Park, enjoying morning tea and lunch onboard. This afternoon, after returning to the mainland, visit Australiana Cottage Crafts specialising in locally made and most certainly Australian gifts and knick-knacks. Return to the motel to freshen up before an early dinner, as this evening we will head to the foreshore at Torquay where the New Year Festival will be underway. Wander through the markets and enjoy the various entertainers before an early fireworks display.

Day 3

K'gari Explorer Tour
Today we start the year with a bucket list adventure to K'gari. Don't forget to pack your swimmers! Led by an experienced local guide, you'll see the island's iconic sights on a curated itinerary of highlights such as Lake McKenzie, World Heritage-listed rainforest, 75 Mile Beach, and the iconic Maheno Shipwreck. Enjoy a buffet lunch at K'gari Beach Resort before rejoining your airconditioned 4WD vehicle. Learn about the Pinnacle Coloured Sands and see the sheer beauty before returning to our motel.

Please note our 4WD tour is conducted on a specialised vehicle and at times can be quite rough. A high level of fitness is required to be able to access this vehicle.

Day 4

Hervey Bay - Brisbane
Today we bid a fond farewell to Hervey Bay as we make our way to the fishing village of Tin Can Bay. Continue to the popular coastal town of Tewantin for lunch before making our way back to Brisbane where, on arrival, your transfers will be arranged.
