Day 1
Home - Gold Coast - Kingscliff
Our tour begins with a transfer to meet our coach before travelling to the northern end of the Gold Coast. Stop at Harbour Town, Australia's largest outlet shopping centre, for some retail therapy before boarding Sea World Cruises' luxurious, Queensland built "Spirit of Elston". Glide along the waters of the Gold Coast canals, blending the best of sightseeing and informative commentary with a delicious lunch. Views from both the deck and the large windows will allow you to see the magnificent homes, the glittering waters of the Broadwater and other renowned locations such as Sea World and Marina Mirage. This afternoon, we will reboard our coach to make our way across the border into the Tweed, where we will settle in for the next three nights at Mantra on Salt Beach Kingscliff.
Day 2
Kingscliff - Byron Bay
After breakfast we will make our way to the Byron Bay area, home to Australia's most easterly point. Stop for a visit to Zentveld's Coffee Farm and Roastery, located in the hills behind Byron Bay, for a Crop to Cup Tour of the coffee plantation (please note that closed in shoes and a hat are essential today). Continue on to the township of Byron Bay where there will be time to wander the main street to purchase your own lunch. Later, take a ride on the Byron Bay Railroad Company's heritage train before returning to the resort to enjoy free time before dinner.
Day 3
Merry Christmas!
There is time this morning for those wishing to attend a Christmas Day church service, or alternatively, you may choose to relax at the resort. We will then join back together late morning ready for our Christmas buffet lunch with all the trimmings, including seafood and a drinks package. This afternoon, take a scenic drive through the lush green valley of the Tweed Valley, catching a glimpse of the stunning Tweed River.
Day 4
Kingscliff - Home
Today we farewell the luxury of Mantra on Salt Beach as we make our way through the scenic Numinbah Valley. Stop at Hinze Dam in Arrowtown for morning tea before continuing on to Mount Tamborine. Spend some time at Gallery Walk before enjoying lunch together and this afternoon, as we make our way back to Brisbane, where our crew will have your transfers arranged.
