Christmas In July At Kingfisher Bay Resort

Day 1

Brisbane - K'gari
Sit back and relax as we travel by coach to Hervey Bay. After lunch we transfer across the Great Sandy Strait to K'gari (Fraser Island) which takes approximately 50 minutes; be sure to keep an eye out for dolphins, dugong and turtles. On arrival to the island, our hosts will greet us and highlight the resort facilities. Please be aware that all rooms have showers over baths.

Day 2

" K'gari - Beauty Spots Tour
Following breakfast, enjoy a Beauty Spots Tour onboard one of the resort's custom built 4WD vehicles-with lunch and refreshments included. See some of K'gari inland highlights, including Central Station and the white sands and clear waters of Lake Birrabeen and Lake McKenzie, where you will have time for a swim. This evening you are in for a special evening as we celebrate Christmas in July in the resort ballroom with a special three course dinner.
Please note that 4WD touring is 'off-road' style, so please be prepared for an adventurous, bumpy ride.

Day 3

K'gari - Whale Watching Cruise
After a buffet breakfast make sure you have your hat and sunscreen as we board a Whale Watching cruise. Great Sandy Strait Marine Park, which lies along the western coast of K'gari, is an ideal location to experience the majestic Humpback Whales in their natural habitat. Each year around 40,000 whales migrate along Queensland's east coast and many of them like to stop in "whale central" for up to a week resting and playing in the warm waters. Return to the resort to relax by the poolside, before lunch and an afternoon at leisure. Late afternoon join a Bush Tucker talk and taste experience before sunset drinks at the bar prior to dinner.

Day 4

K'gari - Brisbane
Your time on K'gari draws to a close we depart the island and travel on the ferry back to River Heads on the mainland. Stop in Maryborough for lunch before continuing back to Brisbane, where on arrival, your transfers will be arranged.
