Day 1
Brisbane - K'gari
Sit back and relax as we travel by coach to Hervey Bay. After lunch we transfer across the Great Sandy Strait to K'gari (formerly Fraser Island) which takes approximately 50 minutes; be sure to keep an eye out for dolphins, dugong and turtles. On arrival to the island, our hosts will greet us and highlight the resort facilities. Please be aware that all rooms have showers over baths.
Day 2
K'gari - Adventure Cruise - Bush Tucker Talk and Taste
After a hearty breakfast, enjoy some free time exploring around the resort. This afternoon, we board the 'Osprey' for an exclusive eco experience cruise exploring the untouched paradise of the remote surrounding islands of the Great Sandy National Park. Wander along the wondrous white sands, learn about this pristine environment and take the opportunity to swim through crystal-clear waterways, on this surreal eco adventure before our Bush Tucker Experience where we experience the delights of native bush tucker ingredients.
Day 3
K'gari - Beauty Spots Tour
Following breakfast, enjoy a Beauty Spots Tour onboard one of the resort's custom built 4WD vehicles-with lunch and refreshments included. See some of K'gari's inland highlights, including Central Station and the white sands and clear waters of Lake Birrabeen and Lake McKenzie, where you will have time for a swim. You may also choose an optional flight over K'gari, taking off and landing on the beach. Please note that 4WD touring is 'off-road' style, so please be prepared for an adventurous, bumpy ride.
Day 4
Christmas Day
Merry Christmas! Today you have the opportunity do Christmas the K'gari way! Enjoy a leisurely morning with time to utilise the resort facilities. We then gather together to celebrate with friends over a festive Christmas luncheon with all the trimmings. This afternoon, you may like to enjoy the entertainment in the Atrium or to relax by the pool. A lighter dinner will be served this evening to complete the day.
Day 5
K'gari - Brisbane
Your time on K'gari draws to a close with your ferry transfer back to River Heads on the mainland. Stop in Maryborough for lunch before continuing back to Brisbane, where on arrival, your transfers will be arranged.
