Day 3

Walhalla - Old Gippstown
Today we visit the small township of Walhalla to ride Goldfields Railway, before a local guide provides an informative town tour onboard our coach. We then take a guided underground tour through Victoria's most profitable single goldmine - the Long Tunnel Extended Goldmine. (Please note: enclosed walking shoes and comfortable clothing is required today as some walking is necessary to gain maximum benefit from the day. A jacket may also be wise, as temperatures underground are cooler and Victorian weather is changeable.) This afternoon, visit Old Gippstown with its authentic buildings dating back from the 1840s through to the 1930s featuring several National Trust classified buildings and one of the best collections of horse-drawn vehicles and farm equipment in Australia.

Day 4

Kelpie Working Dogs - Timeless Memories
Beloka Kelpies is a family-owned working dog training centre and farm, and today we have the opportunity to see some of their work in progress. See fully trained dogs, dogs whose training is in progress and young pups working with sheep, cattle and ducks; if we're lucky, we may even get to cuddle a puppy afterwards! Continue on to Yarram, a township known for its awesome street art, having adopted an Internationally acclaimed street and silo artist - Heesco Khosnaran, to transform their building walls into a blaze of colour with stories of hope.

Day 5

Traralgon - Holden Museum - Home
This morning after breakfast, we farewell our hosts and Victoria's Latrobe Valley. Rolling pastures and distant hills accompany you as we travel westward along the Princes Highway, before a visit to the Trafalgar Holden Museum. Long before Australians drove the famous Holden cars, this iconic brand had its name on saddles and buggies, golf clubs and pedal cars, trams and aero engines. Learn the remarkable story with its beginning as an Adelaide Saddlery that became synonymous with engineering innovation and Australian ingenuity. The modest yet character-filled building, is a treasure trove for car enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Later, we'll make our way towards Melbourne Airport, stopping for lunch along the way.
