Day 1
Brisbane - Armidale
Your tour begins with a transfer to board our luxury touring coach, where once on board, we make our way via Cunninghams Gap to Warwick. Enjoy morning tea before continuing on to Tenterfield for lunch and this afternoon, journey through Glen Innes and on to Armidale, settling in for our overnight stay.
Day 2
Armidale - Mudgee
Following breakfast, journey through Uralla and Moonbi to Tamworth, for a visit to the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame. After lunch, continue on to the historic town of Mudgee, renowned for its heritage streetscapes, charming old public buildings and grand old homes.
Day 3
Mudgee - Cootamundra
Today the countryside will offer scenic views of vineyards and hillsides as our journey takes us into one of Australia's most famous gold mining areas. Travel toward Sofala and on to Australia's oldest inland settlement, Bathurst, for lunch and a town tour. Continue on to Cootamundra, for the next two nights, just a short distance past Young.
Day 4
Cootamundra
Just south of Cootamundra is the town of Junee, one of the most important centres for NSW Railways, where we'll visit the Roundhouse Museum. Following morning tea, travel to Young for lunch before the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy the activities of the National Cherry Festival. With home treasure markets, a street parade and a range of gourmet and fresh food outlets, you will have plenty of choice when purchasing your own dinner tonight.
Day 5
Cootamundra - Dubbo
Return to Young this morning and spend some time at a local orchard picking your own cherries to take home. Visit the festival stalls and the Historical Museum before departing Young mid morning and travelling to Cowra for lunch. This afternoon travel north via Canowindra through Molong and Wellington before arriving in Dubbo for the next two nights.
Day 6
Dubbo Zoo and Dubbo Gaol
Following breakfast visit the Taronga Western Plains Zoo. See hundreds of animals from around the world as we drive along the circuit which meanders through the natural bushland and around the large open style exhibits. Next, visit the Old Dubbo Gaol and learn about the barbaric prison life and see the displays which provide a realistic and fascinating insight into a bygone era.
Day 7
Dubbo - Moree
Travel to Narrabri, situated in the heart of the Namoi Valley. A visit to the unique, organ pipe cliff face of Sawn Rocks will leave you awestruck and is a great place for our picnic lunch. Departing the striking basalt formations, we journey onward through the rich agricultural country toward Moree. Visit the Moree Visitor Information Centre, with its extensive gift shop, where friendly local experts share insights into the region's artesian heritage and vibrant cultural scene. Settle into the Phoenix Artisan Spa Resort, with time to relax and enjoy the soothing atmosphere, wander the grounds, or simply unwind and soak in the tranquillity of the thermal waters of the resort pools before dinner.
Day 8
Moree - Brisbane
Today enjoy a relaxed journey from Moree to Goondiwindi, taking in the changing landscapes of the border country. Pause for morning tea beside the tranquil McIntyre River, where the peaceful waterway provides the perfect backdrop to unwind and stretch your legs. Continue on to Pittsworth for a delightful visit to Pittsworth Confectionery, where sweet treats and country charm make the stop as memorable as the drive itself. After lunch in Pittsworth, we make our way back to Brisbane where your crew will have your transfers arranged.
