Day 1
Brisbane - Stanthorpe
Travel through the Southern Downs area displaying rich fertile farmlands and the rolling hills of the Great Dividing Range. Stop in Warwick for a visit to Abbey Boutique Hotel for lunch and a guided tour where you will be enthralled by the beauty of this 123 year old Victorian sandstone building. Visit Suttons Juice Factory and sample a variety of their products which are available to purchase. Stop in at Castle Glen for a tasting before continuing on to Stanthorpe and settle into our accommodation for the next two nights.
Day 2
Stanthorpe - Opera
Our touring today begins with a visit to the award-winning Historical Museum to learn about how Stanthorpe came to life. This is followed by a local delicacy at Jamworks - a scrumptious Devonshire morning tea. Take the time to taste and purchase some of the wide range of condiments and jams available. Stop in at Granite Belt Christmas Farm before returning to your accommodation for lunch and a tour of the Micro Brewery including a sample of their beer and cider. This afternoon, take some free time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings at Granite Belt Brewery Retreat. Tranquillity is assured as the retreat is set on 30 acres of beautiful Australian bushland enabling you to experience country hospitality at its very best. Later it's time to get ready for the main highlight of your tour - Opera at Heritage Estate Wines. On arrival, enjoy hors d'oeuves with a glass of one of their award winning wines amongst the vineyard while the sun sets. Be seated for the evening's performance, where you will enjoy dinner between acts. The event is sure to offer an unforgettable experience. Please note that this event encourages gentlemen to wear a coat and tie and remember, the afternoons and evenings can cool down, so a jacket for the ladies would also be recommended.
Day 3
Stanthorpe - Brisbane
After a later start and a hearty breakfast, bid a fond farewell to your hosts and travel to Thulimbah where you will be able to purchase local granite belt products at Vincenzo's at the Big Apple, Stanthorpe Cheese and Sam's Farm Fresh Fruit and Veg. Travel back to Warwick for lunch before decending the Great Dividing Range. As we arrive back into Brisbane, your crew will have your transfers arranged.
