The Australian Silo Art movement is growing exponentially in our regional areas throughout Australia and this tour visits 8 of the 9 New South Wales Painted Silo locations, along with towns full of murals and other creative displays. They aren’t just a beautiful addition to the local landscape; but for many towns and communities, it's a lifeline and an important way to promote tourism and bring the travellers dollars to Regional Australia.

Day 1
Home - Canberra - West Wyalong
Your tour begins with a flight to Canberra where our staff will be waiting to welcome you onboard. Travel to Yass for lunch before visiting the first painted silo of our tour. The Murrumburrah Mill Silo, painted by Melbourne based Heesco, are painted all the way around - one of only a few like that in Australia. Continue on to West Wyalong for our overnight stay.
Day 2
West Wyalong - Parkes
Following breakfast, we travel to Weethalle to view the first painted silo in NSW. We then continue our journey to the Grenfell Silo's, stopping at Caragalbal bird art mural along the way. Enjoy a town tour before making our way to Cowra, to see the painted water tanks depicting the history of the town. Enjoy lunch before our journey takes us to Eugowra, known as the town of murals, before arriving in Parkes for our overnight stay.
Day 3
Parkes - Gunnedah
Today our journey takes us via Dubbo and on to the Dunedoo Silos. Continue on to Merriwa to see the well-known Graincorp Silos with the image of a sheep wearing red socks in a canola field. Next, travel via the Liverpool Plains town of Quirindi and see another painted Graincorp Silo, telling the story of the past, present and future of the region. This afternoon, arrive in Gunnedah for our overnight stay.
Day 4
Gunnedah - Moree
This morning, explore the town that also celebrates Dorothy Mackellar the famous Australian poet whose family had a large property in the region. Visit the sculpture park that provides views over the town and surrounding area and see the painted silo and water tower artworks before taking time to purchase your own lunch in town. This afternoon, travel via the Barraba Silos and on to Moree, where we'll settle into our accommodation, with time to take advantage of one of the hotel's Artesian Spa Pools; so be sure to pack your swimwear.
Day 5
Moree - Goondiwindi
Moree is a town rich in culture, heritage, agriculture and natural beauty, and boasts a collection of murals. After a town tour, continue on to Mungindi, which straddles the Queensland and New South Wales border, for lunch. Next, we make our way to Thallon, on the banks of the Moonie River, to discover a town with quite the collection of large-scale artworks. This afternoon, we traverse the Carnarvon Highway and then the Barwon Highway, arriving in Goondiwindi for our overnight stay.
Day 6
Goondiwindi - Brisbane
After breakfast, we view some of the painted water tanks and murals throughout town, along with the Once Upon a Lifetime Sculpture by artist Angus Wilson. As we depart Goondiwindi, our final painted silo will be the stunning Yelarbon Silos where the scene is painted over eight Graincorp Silos. Our journey continues on via Inglewood to Millmerran, where there's five painted murals around the town. This afternoon, after enjoying lunch in Pittsworth, we will make our way back into Brisbane, where your transfers will be arranged.
