Day 1
Brisbane - Coolangatta
Today we make our way to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, a heritage-listed zoological garden which is iconic to the Gold Coast. This attraction was first established as Currumbin Bird Sanctuary in 1947 by a local bee and flower keeper who began feeding lorikeets to keep them from feasting on the plants in his prized garden. It is now one of the Gold Coast's most popular tourist attractions. Our visit today will bring back memories but more importantly, will highlight the valuable conservation work that this park is performing with native animals. Enjoy the keeper talks and see the many animal displays prior to lunch in the function centre. This afternoon, settle into our accommodation for the next two nights, with time to take a walk along the waters edge before dinner.
Day 2
Canal Cruise - Pacific Fair - Free Time
Enjoy the Surfers Paradise waterways as we pass million dollar homes and luxury yachts. Our morning tea river cruise will take us past Marina Mirage, into the Gold Coast Broadwater and the southern tip of Sea World. Return to dock before we reboard our coach to transfer to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, Queensland's second-largest shopping centre and the fifth-largest nationally. Purchase your own lunch and shop till you drop with over 400 stores to browse. This afternoon, we will return to our accommodation where there will be time to relax and enjoy the resort facilities before dinner.
Day 3
Gold Coast - Tamborine - Brisbane
Our journey today takes us into the Gold Coast Hinterland, to Mount Tamborine. Visit the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, which provides a bird's eye view, 30 metres above the subtropical rainforest. We then continue on to Cedar Creek Winery for a guided tour through the purpose built magical glow worm cave, prior to lunch and a wine tasting. This afternoon, take a stroll along Gallery Walk before returning to Brisbane, where your transfers will be arranged.
