Day 1
Home - Sydney - Nowra
Today, you are on your way to discover some of the most beautiful coastline Australia has to offer. Departing the Hunter, we meet our Queensland passengers at Sydney Airport, before making our way via Wollongong to Shellharbour for lunch. Continue on through Kiama before arriving in Nowra for our overnight stay.
Day 2
Nowra - Merimbula
Following breakfast, travel via Ulladulla to the historic mining village of Mogo, where a visit to the Mogo Zoo has been arranged. There will be plenty of time to enjoy lunch and a guided tour before embarking on an afternoon of touring as we continue along the Princess Highway via Cobargo and Bega, arriving in Merimbula for our overnight stay.
Day 3
Merimbula - Lakes Entrance
Before crossing the border into Victoria, enjoy a town tour of Eden, situated on the deep harbour of Twofold Bay. Continue over the border into the amazing retreat area of Gipsy Point and the popular holiday village of Mallacoota, Victoria's eastern edge. Following lunch, visit the Mallacoota WWII Bunker Museum, a restored RAAF Advanced Operations Base, for a guided tour. This afternoon, we'll make our way to the beautiful Lakes Entrance, settling in for the next two nights.
Day 4
Lakes Entrance
Today visit Lake Tyers and the unique Trestle Bridge, taking in the view of Lakes Entrance from the town lookout. Continue on to the once thriving village of Metung before returning to Lakes Entrance to purchase your own lunch. This afternoon, enjoy a cruise on Gippsland Lakes where many a beautiful photo has been captured as the boat glides through the protected waters.
Day 5
Lakes Entrance - Foster
This morning we visit St Marys Catholic Church which features an extraordinary interior of vivid, hand-painted murals by Italian artist Francesco Floreani. Continuing on, we'll explore more of the southern Victorian coastline, enjoying a picnic lunch at one of many beaches along the Ninety Mile Beach stretch of coastline. Extending for more than 140 kilometres, it is one of the longest uninterrupted beaches in the world. This afternoon, visit the historic Port Albert Maritime Museum before settling into our accommodation for the next two nights.
Day 6
Wilsons Promontory
Today we explore one of the most beautiful National Parks in Victoria - Wilsons Promontory. Situated at the southernmost tip of mainland Australia, 'The Prom' as it is affectionately known, includes the Tidal River, secluded bays, magnificent stretches of beaches, granite outcrops, flowering trees and shrubs. As we explore the region, there will be opportunity to stop for easy nature and wildlife walks along the way.
Day 7
Foster - Cowes
Our travels take us south today to once again traverse some spectacular coastline. Travel via Venus Bay, Inverloch and Cape Paterson with some views equalling those on the Great Ocean Road. Arrive on Phillip Island where you will have time to purchase your own lunch prior to boarding our seal watching cruise. Enjoy the ultimate marine adventure of being amongst thousands of playful fur seals at Seal Rocks whilst listening to the commentary on board. We then make our way to Cowes, to settle into our accommodation for the next two nights.
Day 8
Captains Lunch Cruise - Nobbies Centre
After breakfast, visit the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit Visitor Centre for a guided tour of the museum. Explore the most spectacular scenery Phillip Island has to offer at Cape Woolamai as we board our cruise at San Remo. Whilst cruising out to the cape, see the abundance of birdlife that populates the area. Be sure to keep an eye out for other marine life such as dolphins and seals. Later, return to San Remo for the daily Pelican feeding at the jetty before enjoying lunch. This afternoon, visit the Nobbies Centre for a view of Seal Island and time to wander the boardwalks and lookout points. Enjoy an early dinner before experiencing the magic of the Penguin Parade from the underground viewing area. Spot the first Little Penguins emerging from the sea and waddling up the beach to the safety of their homes in the sand dunes. Please be aware that it can be quite cool at the Penguin Parade, so be sure to pack a warm jacket.
Day 9
Cowes - Melbourne - Home
This morning we cross back onto the mainland at San Remo and travel alongside Western Port Bay as we make our way to Cranbourne for a cuppa. We then travel into Melbourne Airport, where your Hostess will assist with your check in, prior to allowing time to purchase your own lunch, ready for your flight home.
